He had 1 good year. That's it. It doesn't make him one of the NFL's best. Here's his career stats: 2007 St. Louis Rams 12 games, 237 carries, 1,002 yards, 4.2 ypc, 54 long, 5 TD's, 38 rec., 271 yards, 7.1 ypr, 37 long, 1 TD's, 5 Fumbles, 2 lost 2006 St. Louis Rams 16 games, 346 carries, 1,528 yards, 4.4 ypc, 59T long, 13 TD's, 90 rec., 806 yards, 9.0 ypr, 64T long, 3 TD's, 4 fumbles, 2 lost 2005 St. Louis Rams 15 games, 254 carries, 1,046 yards, 4.1 ypc, 51 long, 8 TD's, 43 rec., 320 yards, 7.4 ypr, 27 long, 2 TD's, 3 fumbles, 3 lost 2004 St. Louis Rams 14 games, 134 carries, 673 yards, 5.0 ypc, 48 long, 4 TD's, 19 rec., 189 yards, 9.9 ypr, 28 long, 0 TD's, 1 fumbles, 1 lost The bold is the 1 really good year for him. There have been other 1 year wonders at the RB position. Barry Foster comes to mind with his 1 year with 1,600+ yards in '92. Insert any of the Denver RB's here recently (minus Terrel Davis). I'd put that in the pretty darn good catagory. Especially since the rest of the Rams s.u.c.k.e.d. last year. There was nobody else to worry about except Jackson. For all I care, he could be labeled as the most-overrated ever. right now the top 10 are as follows according to talent, surrounding team and production tomlinson westbrook peterson f. taylor s. jackson/brandon jacobs/lynch/portis/addai imo he is one of the best especially since he is 25 0r 26 and has probably the best size and speed combination of this group. he is about 245lbs i have heard, and the guy can break ankles. he's damn good. the last two years on a bad team he has been everything! being conservative about it he is a top 5 rb. Yeah, that Eugene Parker is a real idiot, doesn't know what he is doing. Jackson got 21 million guaranteed (4-5 million more guaranteed than they offered him three weeks ago) and basically got 10 million a year for three years according to Adam Schefter. NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports Jackson signed a five-year extension worth $49 million, including $21 million in guaranteed money.
