JÂy RÛßeÒ Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 I assume Mitchell is one of 'em. Is Crowell switching sides to take over for Ellison?
BillsD#1in2008 Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 no dude Mitchell is playing the weak side which he played with the Giants for the first time so he is comfortable there after playing there for year and Crowell is on the strong side which is his preferred spot on the LB corps
JÂy RÛßeÒ Posted August 20, 2008 Author Posted August 20, 2008 Even better! I thought someone was moving...
BBills14 Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 Even better! I thought someone was moving... that is awesome! I didn't even realize that crowell was going back to his best position...i am really excited about this season!!! All we need is peters back and I am feeling 10-11 wins
kota Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 Ellison got benched witht he signing of Mitchell. No LB movement was done.
Zulu Cthulhu Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 Ellison got benched witht he signing of Mitchell. No LB movement was done. Yeah I think some may have been confused because Ellison (a weakside backer) was actually filling in for Crowell at strongside during some series in the preseason games. But Kawika is a natural weakside pass-rushing backer and Crowell is a sam backer.
BuffaloBilliever Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 Ellison will get some play time on 2nd and 3rd and long situations.
ans4e64 Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 Obviously Ellison is not going to start, thank God.
otisly00 Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 Obviously Ellison is not going to start, thank God. agreed he's not a starter, but he has looked much better and bigger this year. he's a competent backup at the least.
ans4e64 Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 Hopefully Mitchell can provide some playmaking ability for us this year. We always seem to have one LB that is kind of just... there. Doesn't do anything too bad, but doesn't make big plays either. Ellison and Posey come to mind as our last two. We haven't had 3 playmaking LBers in some time. Hopefully Mitchell can change that.
