Steely Dan
I'm having a problem with firefox freezing up on this site and crashing so I downloaded Firefox 3.0 but that hasn't solved the problem. Is anyone else experiencing this? It doesn't do it on other sites it just seems it's with this one. Also on 3.0 there is no back or forward arrows. Am I an idiot who can't find them or in 3.0 they don't exist? Any other things I need to look out for on 3.0? EDIT: It's doing it on a lot of sites. Just Jack
Using Firefox 2.0, no problems here.
Steely Dan
Using Firefox 2.0, no problems here. It started with 2.0 and got worse when I switched to 3.0. I think I'm going to shut down all the add ons and if the problem disappears then I know where the problem is coming from and can whittle them down. I'm no expert in this area, but it sounds more like some spyware type stuff screwing with you. As far as the arrows, I've got them on 3.0....maybe you have to update your theme? /dev/null
Are you running XP SP3 by any chance?
Steely Dan
Are you running XP SP3 by any chance? Yes, I just turned off all my add-ons and the problem seems to have gone away. So now I have the fun task of finding which one it is. I turn back on four at a time and if the problem comes back I know it's in one of those four add-ons and then I can narrow it down and delete that add-on. If that doesn't fix it, try uninstalling Flash player.
Steely Dan
If that doesn't fix it, try uninstalling Flash player. What's really a pain in the ass is that I have to stay on line for an indeterminate amount of time before I can move on to the next add-ons because I'm not sure how long it was it taking before. This is more of a pain in the ass than Nathan Lane.

Steely Dan
I always thought Nathan Lane was the one receiving the pain in the ass I guess that depends on who wins the coin flip. I'm on my second group of five add-ons that I've re-enabled. So far so good. In awhile I'll try another five. When I find out which one I'll post it so if anyone else can use the info. they'll have it.

Steely Dan
Ok, I've gotten the back and forward arrows showing again but now every time I open my homepage the Firefox help page also opens in a separate tab. Any suggestions on stopping this?
