Chilly Posted August 18, 2008 Share Posted August 18, 2008 A lot of the information that we require to make accurate election decisions are more than available to all of us. Unfortunately what I think is that a lot of people seem to not want to actually hear the truth about our economy and think everything is a "quick fix". For example, the massive loss of shareholder wealth that we have witnessed over the last year is correlated with the massive speculation that went on for the last 5 or 6 years in the housing market and that we need to ride it out. Noone wants to hear that, they'd rather hear that some magical fiscal policy will be implemented and all of a sudden, the markets will boom again. Policy-wise perhaps, but I'm convinced we'll never get an accurate portrait of the candidate's personality/leadership style/knowledge/etc. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
