ROGERS CENTRE DOME WILL BE CLOSED: The retractable roof on the Rogers Centre will be closed for tonight's Bills-Steelers preseason game and it has nothing to do with the weather.

Buffalobills.com has learned that head coach Dick Jauron in an effort to simulate the exact conditions that will exist on December 7th when the Bills "host" the Dolphins here in Toronto, he has requested that the roof be closed for tonight's game as well.

That's what I like about Dick, he never over thinks things.

Dick wanted to play inside tonight. I can understand that urge.

That's actually pretty smart, I'll give DJ credit for that call...

Yea because closing a roof on a building where your starters play one quarter of meaningless preseason football and will not set foot in again for a couple of months until we play the Dolphins will be a HUGE advantage.

He has his moments...

not many, but he has them.

You'll see after you've been here awhile, we accept him as "our own little lab experiment gone horribly wrong."

On second thought, it will be a disadvantage to play with the roof closed against the Dolphins who always stuggle in cold weather. Jauron is over-analyzing. Leave the roof open tonight!!!

We interrupt the DJ bashing for the following message, It won't be his call then, now we return to regularly scheduled DJ bashing...

The league makes the call. I recall reading that in cold weather cities with domed stadiums with retractable roofs are closed from November on.

I was hoping this was an Offical Thread about Peters. Dagnabbit............

Me too, I can't believe I clicked it and then typed this response to it.

But we'll all marvel at incredibly prescient DJ was tonite when they decide it would better, on December 7th near the shores of Lake Ontario, to play with the roof closed. (It can only help Trent - no gloves!)

That Dick...genius!!!!

BTW, do they celebrate Pearl Harbour Day in Canada?

I thought so as well....why else would you use all caps?

He doesn't get a lot of attention, so if he types things on the main board in all caps, people will think he's got some legit news.

He's from the north county, that should explain a lot of it.

To simulate the exact conditions in December, will the Toronto residents in attendance also be complaining about the Maple Leafs being in last place?

Well, to be fair, they are currently tied for last place...
