PromoTheRobot Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 I don't live in Buffalo anymore so my opinion may not mean much, but why stop at the villages? Why not merge all of Erie County into one metro government? There is so much duplication of services from city to towns/villages and county. It makes too much sense, so it will never happen. Too many people make a good living and get a great pension and they're not about to let that go. PTR

GoodBye Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 What are the advantages/disadvantages? Tax rates??
VABills Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 What do you do with the boarder villages that have schools that cover multiple counties? Or the reservations?
justnzane Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 Make the whole county as bad as the city! county/property taxes would go down as quickly as the education system would
