/dev/null
I'm reminded of a line from Steven King's The Stand M-O-O-N. That spells ... Moon > McNabb
DDD
Moon was better than McNabb. Just ask Rush Linbaugh.
Lemur King
No debate. Moon was loads better. McNabb will be out as starter in another year or 2 so it's fair to ocmpare numbers. Completion percentage is the same at 58%. Yds/Game: Moon over McNabb 237-211 Yards for career: Moon over McNabb by a mile 50,000-25,000 TDS: Moon by a mile again: 292-171 McNabb is clearly a better scrambler but that's it. Moon was way better. Neither one had particularly gifted offensive weapons around them. Even if McNabb has 3 more good years (the awesome years are behind him), he'll never catch Moon. Nah... who needs perspective, let's just spit out stats to draw conclusions!

silvermike
The same completion percentage leads me to Moon - McNabb's schemes led to shorter passes, Moon's longer. You'd expect any QB to have a lower completion percentage in Moon's systems.

Hazed and Amuzed
Well if you consider that Moon played 6 years in the CFL and still managed to put up those NFL numbers it's pretty freakin' amazing. If you combine the yardage of the 2 leagues he threw for over 70,000 yards. That and he is in both CFL and NFL Hall of Fames. There is no discussion. Warren Moon was right up there with Kelly, Marino, and Mr. Ed (Elway) each year, and would get a Pro Bowl appearance ahead of them guys in certain years

Hazed and Amuzed
Just to be clear: Anyone who thinks Mcnabb is in the same league with Moon either was too young to remember how good Moon really was or they just need a head examination. It's like trying to compare Big Ben to Bradshaw, while Ben is a good QB he still has a long way to go before you can compare him to an NFL Great. Mcnabb is on the downside of his career and he doesn't have enough time left to even come near what Moon ever did. If by some miracle he wins a SB or two then we'll talk but until then there is no comparison.

Nah... who needs perspective, let's just spit out stats to draw conclusions! I will even take it a step further. McNabb will go down as one of the most underrated QBs of all time. IMO, he should be rated higher than Jim Kelly . Before TO and Westbrook, he played with crap (James Thrash was their leading receiver for years, that's horrible). He almost single-handedly carrying them to 3 straight NFC title games (eventually 4 and a Super Bowl). In his only year with a good receiver, he put up MVP #s. McNabb is awesome and the only bad thing is that he had to play in front of loser Eagle fans for his whole career.
