PIZ Posted October 20, 2004 Posted October 20, 2004 It was bazarre. The center snapped the ball and the entire line, including the center, remained in their 3 point stance. The entire d-line came after the QB unblocked (which I guess was the intention). It was really weird. I'm not sure of teams involved and I'd like to read the story. This happened at my high school many years back. The football team had a cocky QB who always called out the o-line. Well, they did the exact thing as above and the QB got hammered. He never called out the line again. I know JP is said to be cocky, but he wouldn't be that dumb would he? Calling out the guys who are there to keep your head on straight.
dib Posted October 20, 2004 Posted October 20, 2004 It was a mickey mouse high school trick. Middle Tenn. Was playing the detestable gators ( who dropped Miami as an opponent because they wanted a stronger schedule in the SEC) I guess Midd Tenn had runout of plays and was willing to try anything. They were intercepted on the play. Next week the Gators play the Merchant Marine Academy
