VOR
JP only got 2 series last year in the 1st pre-season game. So I would say no.
stuckincincy
Hmmmmm No. The Bills lost the services of a 2nd round rookie, an average LB starter, and a 1st round RB for a few games. A game and a half from their OL five all season...an amazing fact. A couple of games from a starting safety. Most that went on the IR weren't going to wow the league if they didn't get hurt. It irks me when folks refer to the Bills injury list. Other teams were close in numbers, and lost more of their starters. It's being used as a crutch. The "2nd round rookie" and "average LB starter" were still STARTERS. "A couple of games from a starting safety" -- what?!! Simpson was injured in the first half of the first game and went on IR. That's 3 of 11 starters on defense, or more than 25%. Call it what you want, but don't minimize the facts.
Dan
Look at all the other NFL teams and you will find your answer. Thank you. All this talk about not playing our starters enough is nonsensical. Look around the league. Every other team approaches the preseason the same way that the Bills are. Ask any player, coach, front office guy, or knowledgeable fan what's the most important thing to get out of a preseason game and they'll all answer the same way.... no injuries. I could just imagine the outrage if Jauron left Trent in the game for a couple of quarters and late in the 2nd quarter he gets injured and loses a few months of playing time. marauderswr80
Teams just have to be very cautious in preseason games......they are meaningless but they need to get guys ready.
Tsaikotic
"Normally"..teams only play starters sparingly in the 1st preseason game then they play more in the second and then playing the most in game 3...game 4 they play a little to keep from getting hurt for opening day and so the coaches can get a last look b4 they make final 53 man roster
