But I distinctly remember one of Johnson's preseasons (maybe Greggo's first season) where I don't think he got a first down in a game. I also don't like to compare football & baseball, as baseball has much more latitude for fixing errors during the season. I'm remembering 98 (or was it 99-00?), where he lit things up on more than one occasion. Specifically, I remember him torching the Rams. Lurker Posted August 11, 2008 Share Posted August 11, 2008 Having Edwards launch only 5 passes was goofy. "Max" protect him by all means, but he is still a question mark. I wanted to see 20 passes - with the other 1st stringers on the field... That makes absolutely no sense playing on the road with a jerry-riged O-line versus a team that already has one game under it's belt.
