RayFinkle
I got an X-Box 360 last year. One of the better investments I have made. Normally I NEVER buy any type of extended warranty, but I would advise buying the system at Best Buy and getting the extended in store warranty (they will price match). Any thing goes wrong for the first 2 years you just bring it to the store and swap it for a brand new one, no questions asked. With the rate of problems the system has, it is worth it. Fezmid
thanks. i was planning on best buy! Yes, buy a 360 (check the Consumer Forum - lots of people have their gamertag posted so you can add them as your friends). http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showtopic=52601 However, do NOT buy the extended warranty - waste of money. Microsoft has a 3 year warranty on the 360. And if something does go bad, you could theoretically send it back to MS, go to Best Buy, buy another 360, then return it in 30 days... Not sure if that's ethical or not, but I asked two of their employees if I could do that and they both said no problem. I did it, and it went fine. You can buy from Best Buy and get a free wireless controller: http://www.xbox360fanboy.com/2008/08/10/36...or-15-and-more/ In addition, save your receipt -- Microsoft is expected to announce a price cut at the start of September: http://www.xbox360fanboy.com/2008/08/02/ma...-for-september/ Best Buy should honor the price reduction if it's within 30 days.
