VOR Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 Tasker emphatically pointed it out. Hardy was supposed to be there. Lesson learned, hopefully. You mean a WR (a rookie in this case) not cutting-off his route and leaving his QB out to dry? That's a first.
mcjeff215 Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 It's on NFL network.... hoping to see the offense click soon; they're looking mighty rusty. Defense is playing pretty good thus far.
stuckincincy Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 D'oh I'm in California! "Game Center" http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/gamecenter/l...0080809_BUF@WAS
sven233 Posted August 9, 2008 Author Posted August 9, 2008 Edwards looked deep, but tried to check down........batted away. Wish I could have seen the coverage down the field...
bizell Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 first 2 series, save that one pass to roscoe parrish, have been putrid. and pass protection has been good even w/ peters out.
sven233 Posted August 9, 2008 Author Posted August 9, 2008 You mean a WR (a rookie in this case) not cutting-off his route and leaving his QB out to dry? That's a first. Yeah. It is going to happen from time to time. Just hope he learns from the mistake and gets it worked out in time for the season.
Hazed and Amuzed Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 Edwards looked deep, but tried to check down........batted away. Wish I could have seen the coverage down the field... They just showed it. The coverage was there. Hardy was covered and parrish was doubled.
VOR Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 Apparently Taylor was facing Chambers and then Walker when each false started. They need to get Peters back.
billsfanmiami(oh) Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 Offense looks terrible so far. Trent has looked shaky at best. Two false start penalties and poor run blocking by the line. I really hope Peters is back in the near future.
bladiebla Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 With Walker and Chambers having switched side we're bound to see more false start penalties; it takes time to adjust.
VOR Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 Yeah. It is going to happen from time to time. Just hope he learns from the mistake and gets it worked out in time for the season. I don't know. That (a Bills WR failing to go to a hot route) has been a pet peeve of mine for years.
sven233 Posted August 9, 2008 Author Posted August 9, 2008 first 2 series, save that one pass to roscoe parrish, have been putrid. and pass protection has been good even w/ peters out. Well, there have been 2 false start penalties on the O-Line......that really is not very good. No matter how good the pass protection is if you are going bacwards. But yes, the offense has been terrible so far. I know they said they were going to play 10-20 plays, but with the performance so far, I hope they are in A LOT LONGER!!! Better now than in the regular season. Play until you get the ball moving on a consistant basis.
Huuuge Bills Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 About to have the first challenge of the season.
sven233 Posted August 9, 2008 Author Posted August 9, 2008 That ball was on the ground..........so obvious. I am glad the red flag was thrown.

sven233 Posted August 9, 2008 Author Posted August 9, 2008 Seeing that ref looking right at the play from behind......I have no idea how he didn't see that ball hit the ground. Not sure what he was looking at.
VOR Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 I hope Steve Johnson gets some time with the starters.
