Like A Mofo Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 Chargers suddendly have a very good offense
marck Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 This type of move was expected since Reche Caldwell may be out for the season. I have heard its for two picks in 2005. A 3rd round and a 6th round. Steal for the Chargers, and they also signed Bobby Shaw which may help a little bit.
stuckincincy Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 Well, he's a cheap-shot, knee-cutting, selfish SOB...hope SD didn't get stuck.
kota Posted October 19, 2004 Author Posted October 19, 2004 ^^^ Cool they can trade him to Miami next year then.
erynthered Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 Go to foxsports.com Looks like they got a 3rd and a 6th I think for him.........
zow2 Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 I heard that Brees is supposed to be traded to Green Bay some time soon. They said it on ESPN radio this morning. Anything new on that front?
MadBuffaloDisease Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 McCardell is 34-1/2 years old and will want a fat new contract. Not worth it for a short-term fix IMHO.
Bill from NYC Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 Let's see how giddy Schottenheimer is when Bobby Shaw drops easy passes, and does the moonwalk after a meaningless short reception while the team is getting crushed.
Dawgg Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 Actually I always thought Bobby was one of the more dependable receivers in terms of holding onto the ball. His act is definitely super annoying though Let's see how giddy Schottenheimer is when Bobby Shaw drops easy passes, and does the moonwalk after a meaningless short reception while the team is getting crushed. 76478[/snapback]

He was also able to make a "hard" catch. That said, he had WAY too many drive killing drops, and I am truly happy to see him off the team. It provides cap space, and he can be easily replaced with a low round draft pick, assuming TD can give us a strong draft.
