There are no easy or cheap solutions at this point, and the continued foreclosure of houses would only make the situation worse, so given the alternatives I would say I support it. Most of it is renegotiating and backing loans, not outright bailouts, and hopefully the increased regulations will prevent a similar situation in the future. The states are being given $4 billion to buy up and fix foreclosed houses. That's less then we spend in Iraq in a month.
