\GoBillsInDallas/ Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 My company owns our office building, and we rent out 30% of the building to tenants. My secretary and I have individual offices that overlook a portion of the parking lot. Late Friday afternoon, we hear a big “thud” in the parking lot. We both look out our windows and see a big SUV that had backed up out of a parking space and hit the car parked in a spot on the other side of the aisle. We both look out of our office windows, and we see the female driver of the SUV still sitting in the driver’s seat. And we see her looking behind her at the car that was hit, then we see her looking at me and my secretary standing in our office windows, and then we see her drive away. My secretary and I both see a portion of the license plate, so we call the police and they come out to take our statements. And this wouldn’t normally be worth a mention, until we find out today that (a) the woman works at a company in our office building and (b) the car that she hit belongs to one of her co-workers! So basically, she fled the scene of an accident knowing that there are witnesses, yet shows up with her same vehicle in the same parking lot the following week.
KD in CA Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 So basically, she fled the scene of an accident knowing that there are witnesses, yet shows up with her same vehicle in the same parking lot the following week. Was the big dent still in her bumper? Nothing like a good 'woman driving an SUV' story.

Beerball Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 I'm corp and we have a couple garages to choose from--gated entry only. A coworker had his pick-up side swiped and whoever did it took off. Didn't get witnessed or caught on camera. In general people are putzes.
Chilly Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 July 4th weekend, we were eating at a restaurant in San Antonio, and saw someone back into another car (trying to get into a spot), stop for a second, and take off. Got the license plate, called the cops, but as it turns out the guy was a regular at the restaurant and hit one of the employee's cars.

/dev/null Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 My strange story of the day.... Took my car in for service. I was standing around waiting for my ride and some black guy about 10 yards away is like "Hey...hey" trying to get my attention I turn to look at him and he says "Can I have some change?". I shake my head and turn away "Hey...hey....hey.....hey". I turn to look at him again. "Can I have a cigarette?". Again I shake my head again "HEY!....HEY!....HEY!!!!.....HEY!!!!" I start walking back to the door so I can go inside just in case this guy wants trouble when I hear.... "Go back to your own city. Your kind doesn't belong here" He walks off mumbling
Simon Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 From the local paper today: A Knox man was injured and flown to UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh after a DUI hit-run Sunday in Clarion County. Raymond George II, 32, remained in the hospital Tuesday night and was listed in fair condition, according to a nursing supervisor. State police said George was injured after exiting his vehicle and smashing his head into the windshield following a hit-run crash. George was traveling on Camp Coffman Road in Ashland Township when his vehicle left the road and struck a tree, police said. They said George left the scene in his vehicle. The vehicle was leaking radiator fluid after the crash, and became disabled on the roadway, police said. They said George, who was DUI, exited the vehicle and proceeded to smash his head into the windshield, causing the glass to break. George passed out from the injuries, police said.
