To bring this back to the original topic, up in the SF Bay area, we have had numerous microquakes (2.0) which we have a all the time. If you go to the USGS site you can see the traces of the San Andreas and Hayward / Caleavaras Faults by the quakes. The biggest we had nearby were two 4.2s in two hours about 1.5 miles from me the day after the space shuttle crashed. The floor felt like it moved about 5 feet back and forth and I watched the glass in the patio door vibrate.

We had a couple that were centered in Alamo a couple months back Wacka that made our sliding mirrored closed doors rattle and it shook the hell out of my bobble head collection.
