Chef Jim
Ahhh, nice and warm. Spent the fourth of July holiday in Palm Springs in 115 degree temps. It was great to visit and float in the pool. Seeing I wear a suit and tie to work everyday I couldn't imagine working there. We're seriously considering retiring there.
ExiledInIllinois
At least it's a dry heat. Ya... With low humidity, things act in "reverse" 118 feels like 108, if that... Still FREAKIN 108!
Wacka
A few years ago it got up to 116 here, It was as if you turned on the oven and stuck your head in.
Marv's Neighbor
At least it's a dry heat. Maybe more like a "dry heave."
stuckincincy
A few years ago it got up to 116 here, It was as if you turned on the oven and stuck your head in. I used to visit the Phoenix area auto proving ground facilities in previous employment. The natives liked to point out the dry heat angle. I thought them very courteous, in that they would take my keys and open the driver's door for me. What they were doing was letting some of the hot blast from the passenger cabin release before they hopped in.
