Has anyone done the math on Peter's contract? I mean...for sake of this thread...how does his bonus money when he signed compare to McCorner?

I'm sure Peter's food bill is twice as much as McCorner...can we throw a free team buffet his way?

I'm beginning to think he's not recovered from surgery yet and no one (neither he nor the Bills brass) want anyone to realize that's the real issue...

The good news though if this easily and reasonably doubtful "logic" is true is that the Peters injury may be serious and not healed yet, but if the Bills KNOW there is a Peter injury issue, they are not taking action we can see like they judge it to be a big long-term problem.

They have operated with Chambers as the back-up and plug in for Peters when he can (will) not play. If in fact, you are right that the Bills Peters know he is not recovered from injury and are pretending he is fine, then this logical thread would have them moving to replace Peters if they thought this was a long-term issue or simply just uncertain. If in fact, they are hiding injury information they are taking no seeable action that indicates they judge this injury problem to be a long-term issue.

McKelvin does not make more then Mayo...why cant people understand this

just look at Hesters new deal with Chicago, it has incentives in there that he will never reach yet its reported as part of the deal

ITS ALL ABOUT THE GUARANTEED MONEY PEOPLE, THATS IT.....MCKELVIN GOT LESS GUARANTEED MONEY THEN THE 10TH PICK AND MORE THEN THE 12TH PICK, ITS CALLED SLOTTING

You're assuming McKelvin doesn't hit all his bonuses? Dangerous assumption, unless you've seen the contract.

If he is still injured, he should be in camp monitored by the medical staff. There would be no reason to hold out as he would be getting paid to rehab and not getting fined.

Basically the logic that draws some to wonder whether Peter's injury last year is at the root of some conspiracy by the Bills and Peters simply is not that logical.

Wouldn't the large $19.4M number represent the maximum value of the contract? And if not and there are bonuses that aren't accounted for, wouldn't him hitting them be a good thing? And maybe Mayo has more bonuses that aren't accounted for in the $18.9M number?

It's "at the root" in so far as the Bills haven't seen or heard from him since January, thus they have no idea what condition he's in, and want to see that he's back to his old form before giving him a huge new deal. I think that's totally logical and a plausible scenario.
