Here's another one. "Not for nothin" That drives me nuts. Why would you preface a statement with "not for nothin"?

If you are speaking, you're obviously speaking for a reason. "Not for nothin" is a given. Drop it and just say what you have to say. :rolleyes: And remember: A wise man speaks because he has something to say. A fool speaks because he has to say something.

Not for nothin, but you got a point there. Exactly what does the "one" mean in "have a good one"? A good day? A good time? A good BM?

I'm in this class right now for work...there's this guy behind me that keeps raising his hand, and when the instructor says what, he says "I got a question...."

Reminds me of one of those emails people send around the office that goes something like:

 

Ever wonder about those people who say they are giving more than 100%?

 

We have all been to those meetings where someone wants over 100%. How about achieving 103%? Here’s a little math that might prove helpful. What makes life 100%?

I cannot stand when people say "happy hump day"... first of all wed is not always hump day for everyone , and if you are saying it, i think the meaning of it should change :rolleyes:

One that makes no sense is "hot water heater"...it's not a hot water heater it's a water heater! :rolleyes:
