Chilly
I was for the balanced budget before I was against it before I was for it again. http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/07...dget-pledge/?hp

SD Jarhead
This might just be the year the Republicans gift wrap the Presidency and deliver it to the Dem's. The further along we go, the more it looks like it... It sometimes looks like McCain doesn't know what he's going to do. It makes me wonder if he's dealing with the 'B' Team since the Republicans really don't like him.

Albany,n.y.
Just goes to show you that no matter who you support, you can say "He will say anything to get himself elected." about the other guy. One of these days the people who think that honest people are running for President will realize that in order to get the nomination of either party, you have to run far from center, then shift towards the center to win the election. They all lie, flip-flop and say anything they think will get them elected. By the way, where did H.Clinton & McCain go in their efforts to get the gas tax holiday? It is now obvious that neither was serious about it, just campaign nonsense.
KD in CA
By the way, where did H.Clinton & McCain go in their efforts to get the gas tax holiday? Maybe Hillary should carpetbag her way to the UK and run for PM. Gas tax there is half a pound per liter. Oh yeah, and they charge 17.5 % VAT. UK will be hitting $10/gallon soon (if not already). More than half goes to the gubmint. Just look how much more room the tax and spend liberals in the Replicrat party have!

No one has a better knack for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory like the dummycrats. And no this statement is not an endorsement of the retardians.
