Beerball Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 From Mr. Brown: BILLS HAVE OPEN ROSTER SPOT: With the release of Mike Viti Tuesday, the Bills now have 79 players counting all of their draft picks. Six of their draft choices are still unsigned and technically won’t count toward the team roster total until they’re signed, but even when they are signed Buffalo will still have an extra roster spot. You can go to camp with a maximum of 80. linkology
BeastMode54 Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 For everyone who was going nuts about him being the bruising fullback we need, he was released today
Beerball Posted July 1, 2008 Author Posted July 1, 2008 From Mr. Brown: linkology I was first dammit!
Fewell733 Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 Must not have even been close. I always struggled to see how he'd fit on the 52 man roster unless he was good enough to be the only true fullback on the team - tall task for a rookie FA.
Stl Bills Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 This is an automated response This subject matter is currently being discussed in another thread HA HA nobody cares about your thread Beerball!
Buffaloed in Pa Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 I for one didn`t think he would make it, All show and no go. Too musclebound and stiff ,short arms,no quicks.
Beerball Posted July 1, 2008 Author Posted July 1, 2008 This is an automated response This subject matter is currently being discussed in another thread HA HA nobody cares about your thread Beerball! I rulz!
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 I wonder if this move means we're going to go after Mike Alstott. The reason I mention it is that Mike Alstott is the only other fullback whose name I know.
R. Rich Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 I was first dammit! No. There were dammits before you. Sorry.
stuckincincy Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 HA HA nobody cares about your thread Beerball! Like...2009 Missouri players? HA HA.
eball Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 I for one didn`t think he would make it, All show and no go. Too musclebound and stiff ,short arms,no quicks. Leif Larsen reincarnated as a short guy?
BrooklynBills Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 Aren't we one of the teams interested in LeCharles Bentley? This would open up a roster spot for him. Unless he was signed recently and I didn't hear about it.
K-Gun10 Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 Well it looks like it is Barnes at FB, unless they bring a Fullback in.
John from Riverside Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 Good luck in the future to Viti..... I agree......hopefully a spot open for Lebently
WellDressed Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 Must not have even been close. I always struggled to see how he'd fit on the 52 man roster unless he was good enough to be the only true fullback on the team - tall task for a rookie FA. Not good enough to get on the roster???? He ain't fit for TRAINING CAMP!!!
The Senator Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 Wasn't Viti injured in the rookie minicamp, or the OTAs?
Stl Bills Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 Like...2009 Missouri players? HA HA. No like 2008 Missouri players.............nobody cared about them either. What can I say Cincy, I'm shameless but we do have a good crop of talent this year
The Senator Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 Found it... "Viti suffered an undisclosed injury to his left knee in late May in OTA’s (Offseason Training Activities) after some incidental contact along the sideline following a reception. "Viti missed two weeks and didn’t see much action recently at Bills’ mini-camp... "It isn’t good when knee injury and Viti are mentioned in the same sentence. He tore the ACL in his left knee as a senior in high school. Viti's right knee has no cartilage left." Link
