San-O Posted June 27, 2008 Share Posted June 27, 2008 http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/stor...&id=3461989 I do expect the Bills to be improved, however do not anticipate them making the playoffs; again. Too many good teams in AFC, and they're only taking '6' when all is said and done. It's a lot to ask for this team to jump into the ranks of the Steelers, Browns, Titans and probably the Texans. It'll take 10 wins this season, IMO, and the offense is too new and too young, and still not much in the receiver department. Good D and special teams keep the Bills close in most games, until the D wears out and the O can't stay on the field. 1 *- New England Patriots ACE 16 0 0 1.000 589 274 315 75 8-0 8-0 6-0 1.000 12-0 1.000 4-0 16W 5-0 2 z- Indianapolis Colts ACS 13 3 0 .813 450 262 188 54 6-2 7-1 5-1 .833 9-3 .750 4-0 1L 4-1 3 z- San Diego Chargers ACW 11 5 0 .688 412 284 128 49 7-1 4-4 5-1 .833 9-3 .750 2-2 6W 5-0 4 y- Jacksonville Jaguars ACS 11 5 0 .688 411 304 107 50 6-2 5-3 2-4 .333 8-4 .667 3-1 1L 3-2 ============================================================ 5 z- Pittsburgh Steelers ACN 10 6 0 .625 393 269 124 46 7-1 3-5 5-1 .833 7-5 .583 3-1 1L 2-3 6 y- Tennessee Titans ACS 10 6 0 .625 301 297 4 28 5-3 5-3 4-2 .667 7-5 .583 3-1 3W 4-1 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7 Cleveland Browns ACN 10 6 0 .625 402 382 20 46 7-1 3-5 3-3 .500 7-5 .583 3-1 1W 3-2 8 Houston Texans ACS 8 8 0 .500 379 384 -5 43 6-2 2-6 1-5 .167 5-7 .417 3-1 1W 3-2 9 Denver Broncos ACW 7 9 0 .438 320 409 -89 34 5-3 2-6 3-3 .500 6-6 .500 1-3 1W 2-3 10 Cincinnati Bengals ACN 7 9 0 .438 380 385 -5 41 5-3 2-6 3-3 .500 6-6 .500 1-3 2W 3-2 11 Buffalo Bills ACE 7 9 0 .438 252 354 -102 25 4-4 3-5 4-2 .667 6-6 .500 1-3 3L 2-3 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

drnykterstein Posted June 27, 2008 Share Posted June 27, 2008 Why in the world would you not expect us to be better then the Texans? What have they done? They played amazinggreat last year, in my opinion. Just sucked that they were in the same division as Colts, Titans, Jags. Otherwise they make the playoffs. Erik Posted June 27, 2008 Share Posted June 27, 2008 They played amazinggreat last year, in my opinion. Just sucked that they were in the same division as Colts, Titans, Jags. Otherwise they make the playoffs. The problem they'll have this year is that they are still in the same division as the Colts, Titans, and Jaguars and we still play in the same division as the Dolphins and the Jets. That helps us immensely. Also considering the fact that we have a good shot at beating the Pats next year in Week 17 unless they are once again 15-1 because in all likelihood they will have everything wrapped up by then and we will hopefully be playing for something. elegantelliotoffen Posted June 27, 2008 Share Posted June 27, 2008 I think the Titans will take a dive next year, maybe 7-9, 6-10. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

San-O Posted June 28, 2008 Author Share Posted June 28, 2008 Why in the world would you not expect us to be better then the Texans? What have they done? I'd seen and read some things saying they were going to be good, an up and comer, they seem to have their QB issue handled, and they went 8-8 in the AFCS last year. That was probably the best division in football. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Flbillsfan#1 Posted June 28, 2008 Share Posted June 28, 2008 I am surprised no one jumped on the Bengals as being better than the Bills. Palmer is a great QB, & they have good receivers but that is a team in disarray. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Proteus Posted June 28, 2008 Share Posted June 28, 2008 Why in the world would you not expect us to be better then the Texans? What have they done? I honestly think the Texans are going to be really good this year. They have a great young defense, a reliable quarterback and a top notch receiver. robkmil Posted June 28, 2008 Share Posted June 28, 2008 The Bengals and Broncos? Come-on. Why is everyone high on the Texans? We were one play from beating Jax last year. This douche makes some good points but we should be way higher. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
eball Posted June 28, 2008 Share Posted June 28, 2008 I still think it's ridiculous they named Houston the Texans. Could they be any less creative? It's like naming us the Buffalo Canadians. Hey, there's a great matchup next week -- the Baltimore Marylands vs. the Pittsburgh Pennsylvanians. Idiots. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Hey, there's a great matchup next week -- the Baltimore Marylands vs. the Pittsburgh Pennsylvanians. Idiots. I think it's more ridiculous that the Houston ownership reportedly paid Jerry Jones $10 million for the name, since Jones was going to name his Arena league team "Texans." Now they're the Desperados. This douche makes some good points but we should be way higher. Well the Texans won 1 more game than the Bills last year and play in a tougher division. On top of that they have a young head coach who looks like he's moved the team further in 2 years than Jauron has in his 2 years in Buffalo. I mean if Stroud has something left, the defense improves dramatically. If Edwards can play, the offense immediately ceases to be below average because they have enough players around him imo. The chances of both of these things panning out is admittedly less than 50/50 and probably less than 70/30. But if they do happen it's going to be a lot easier than we think to surpass 5 teams on that list. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
