Losman would beat out Edwards in a camp battle

Hell, this has to be more enjoyable than all the damn Peters and Lynch threads. I never thought the offseason would drive me to a point where i'd miss the irrational QB debates.

Well ignoring the posturing, of your agenda, and others in the Losman camp. I sadly agree with the second sentence.

Losman probably would beat out Edwards in camp.

It's when the games count and opponents gameplan that Losman does poorly

Just maybe if he had an offensive coordinator that could come up with a game plan that played to his strengths, and a legit #2 receiver he would have done better last year. I really feel however unless Trent gets injured JP should sit on the bench this year because he will not be a Bill in 09 anyway.

THE over under on Edwards lasting without injury is 6 games .. ....

just so you know even Vegas doesnt think Edwards is anything more than a china plate.

pretty in the lineup ,,but breaks when its dropped ..! <_<

Todays NFL reality you gotta have reliable number 2

I suggest we switch this to a question of who will win the #2 spot, Hamdan or Losman. I have broken it all down for you according to my own very specific set of criteria:

Facial Hair:

Hamdan: well-trimmed, very presentable

Losman: looks like an early 80s porn star

Advantage: Hamdan

Better Photshopped Picture:

Hamdan:http://buffalowdown.com/2008/05/27/bills-third-string-qb-best-arab-american-athlete/

Losman: http://data2.blog.de/media/715/1002715_a4c3365c89_m.jpeg

Advantage: Losman

Identifying Trademark:

Hamdan: Oozes with Chroise

Losman: The high-pitched voice of an adolescent girl (only useful if attempting to woo Travis Henry)

Advantage: Hamdan

The numbers don't lie: Hamdan 2 Losman 1

Any QB that wears gloves (& has a weak arm) can't QB be the solution in Buffalo

In a truly fair competition Hamdan would beat out Tom Brady, hands down. The league just isn't ready for a great Arab-American QB. He's only 3rd string because Homeland Security refuses to allow him to be any higher on the depth chart.

In a similar vein, the DHS has also commanded that any pass Hamdan throws that is deep downfield must be referred to as a Liberty-pass, or a Freedom-pass, not a bomb, just to assuage the masses.

I believe when elected President Barack Hussein Obama will lift this restriction and Hamden will be the best Qb in the NFL

I know this started out as a joke by Raimus, but I can't resist...Edwards already smoked JP in a camp battle last season...

Really? I wouldn't say he "smoked him"........ thats kind of going to an extreme, especially if he smoked him as you say, he would have been the starter coming out of the gate

No, he outplayed JP by a longshot last year, in training camp, and pre-season. JP was annointed the starter before training camp, because it was assumed he had developed the second half of 2006. Not many rookies are handed a starting job when there is a vetran on the squad. That is part of the reason, I think, that the whole notion that the Bills didn't give Losman a fair chance to become the starter is absurd. He was handed the job twice, and shat the bed both times.

Remember how impressive TE was in pre-season? He was unbelievably good, which, in part, IMO, made the decision to go with Edwards over Losman that much easier to make, for the coaches. Go back and look at threads from that time (last August), and everyone was writing of TE's superior performance as being a result of the fact that he was playing against second/third stringers. JP was unimpressive in pre-season, and in training camp, but he (and his supporters, I was one of them) kept assuming it would all click once the real season started...

Good points, I will have to take your word for the preseason because I was deployed last summer, I did hear good things about TE but I personally just marked that up to playing against the guys now working at McDonalds, or BK.. but from the information I gathered I just think smoked is a pretty extreme statement, maybe he beat him out but I don't think he whipped em that bad.. just my $0.02
