Ramius Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 In reality, there is a 98% chance Lynch knew the girl was hit and took off. If he had shown concern for a human being that was injured, the Cops would have probably been more worried about extra paperwork and just focused on the girl. The cops give these guys a break as it is...I'm sure there would be zero story if Lynch was a man and stopped to help. Well then, mr upstanding citizen, why dont you call the eric county DA and tell him you'll testify in front of the grand jury. Since you know that Lynch was driving and you know that he knew he hit the girl and then took off. And i call bull sh-- on "cops giving the guy a break." Clark is pissed because no one will talk, so not hes kicking and screaming and pounding his fists and throwing a fit like a 3 year old by subpoenaing wilson and everyone else.
Dwight Drane Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anecdotal_evidence lol, we still don't even know if Lynch was actually the driver yet. Oh, and just so I'm not also accused of defending Lynch, I also AGREE WITH DC TOM THAT IF TRUE, LYNCH SHOULD BE PUNISHED. You are right. There is a good chance that Jackson or Hardy were driving since they are both very tall and would be more comfortable up front.

Mikie2times Posted June 13, 2008 Author Posted June 13, 2008 A lot of people here are misunderstanding the phrase. People who do not drink and drive are not "holier than thou". People who would stop to render aid to someone they have injured are not "holier than thou", they are responsible citizens. The term "holier than thou" applies to those who have never been in such a situation and respond emphatically, knowing exactly what they would do, as if they were. They believe they would have done the righteous thing, no matter what the circumstances, when in fact unless they were in that situation they will never truly know. It's kind of like an Monday morning quarterback (God knows we have a ton of those on this board), this person says the Bills should have done this or they should have done that, not really knowing if that would have worked or not, but it's much easier to make that statement after the fact. Thanks for clarifying that phrase for me, thats how I meant it.
LongLiveRalph Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 I gave a real life example yesterday of 8 East Aurora cops that came to a common sense understanding with me because I did the right thing and manned up to my teenage jackassedness. It's very easy to say that since the East Aurora police let you and your friends off when you were drinking in a field, Lynch and his teammates have had the same "everything works out fine with the cops" experiences. It's simply not true, and is fairly short-sighted to think that. "Manning up" to underage drinking is much different from potentially being suspended from your job or possibly having a multi-million dollar contract voided.
Ramius Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 I think we should call the DA and inform them that Dwight Drane would like to testify. but, by his lahjik, if he testifies, that means he was involved in the incident, and probably in marshawn's car if not driving. So, using the typical tard lahjik of the board, we can conclude that dwight drane got drunk, ran over a girl, hid at his house where he beat his girlfriend and then murdered his dad. And he has no morals because he's not talking to the police.

The Bills RB's and the Buffalo Police have a long history together. Let's just say that I have knowledge of 4 RBs that have been given a break, not including McGahee, Henry and Lynch. These other 4 were all starters at one time or another. Players get breaks. Lynch would have been fine. You or I probably would have been fine if we attended to the injured girl. I hope Lynch pulls a rabbit out of his hat, because I want to like him. Instead this incident is taking down the whole team.
Mikie2times Posted June 13, 2008 Author Posted June 13, 2008 - If I hit someone I would stop.....it doesnt really have to do with going to jail or not....my concience would bother me and i could not live with that..... - If I did not know I hit someobody....well...then I didnt know I think I would for that reason as well. Conscience, guilt, whatever the phrase, it would eat me alive if I drove off. I know that. Still, I've never been in the situation before, so I can't say I know how I would respond in that moment to a certainty. At least not as certain as some here say. Not saying many wouldn't still pull over, because I know some would, I just know some who say they would might think about it a little more when they have so much to lose.

I understand.....the topic of the thred is "what would you do?" I have given 2 very personal stories the past 2 days in order to not be some blabbermouth. The race card doesn't work. From working in housing projects in Overtown and Liberty City Miami.....going to the Dr in Little Havana or being the only white person out of 30 in a bank.....I think I have seen enough of everyone to know an !@#$ is an !@#$, and anyone that hits a girl and leaves her in the street is an !@#$. This entire debate is about all of us. A bunch of clowns that take time from their day to post on a freaking Buffalo Bills message board. When the apple is rotten, it is time to throw it out. The apple that is the Bills is showing some wormholes, and between the actions of their stars the past few months, their administration, and a good hunk of their fans....I think we have reached a tipping point. I question someone that does not at least pause and reflect on the actions of the past few weeks.

Even if Lynch didn't pull over, the next morning when it was clear he was involved, how easy would it have been for him to come out and say, "Man...I'm so sorry. I am so used to the league telling us to stay out of trouble, and watch out for scammers that my instincts just told me to get away from trouble. In hindsight that was not right, and I'm sorry that the girl needed some stitches." Girl is probably fine....Marshawn if charged gets a $500 fine and light probation, and no story. Now this is real news, he has mounting legal fees and has a better than 50/50 chance of a suspension in my view, and may have actually emboldened the girl to bring up a civil suit by his brashness. Bad risk reward decision no matter how you look at it.

Well if we count Liberty City, I guess I wouldn't stop, I have ran over many, many, many people there, stole a bunch of cars, even ran from the cops and been caught a few times too. Good thing I got out of there though and moved to Vice City, and then after moved to San Andreas

Good thing I got out of there though and moved to Vice City, and then after moved to San Andreas I made the mistake of playing that game and then went out and drove to Miami Beach. I was ready to drive through the red lights at 70 MPH.

Fan in San Diego Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 You really have no clue or concept do you? No one is questioning the incident (car hits woman, leaves scene), what those of us with a MODICUM of intelligence are thinking is that we want to hear all the facts of who was involved, what the circumstances of the incident were, etc. before we pass judgement. It's not our fault you pulpit screamers are too f___ing stupid to figure that out by yourselves. Instead, you label us as immoral, Marshawn-lovers when all we want is the facts!!! Why are you still posting, you said you were leaving over a dozen posts ago?!? You've long worn out your welcome here. Go cheer for the Chargers where all of their players are squeaky-clean church goers. Don't even go there with me on that. Worn out my welcome ? Do you run this place ? It's a public forum, if you don't like it too bad ! Long after you've left this board I'll still be here, so piss off and go back to elementary school would you. And learn the golden rule while your there.

Wait. did i just see a post by a poster with a long history of flinging insults at others telling someone else to learn the golden rule? By the way, you did say you were leaving, and many of us were looking forward to it. By not posting, you may actually appeared to have the slightest bit of intelligence for a change. But i guess it was all an attention ploy.
Fan in San Diego Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Subject to the owner's rules. fine, but some yahoo with 3 posts is not going to try and tell me I've worn out my welcome. Including you for that matter. Your trolling for some kind of fight by splitting hairs like most trolls on this site.
