buckeyemike Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 OK, lets assume you have a solar-powered portable DVD player with you. Here are the ones I would take: 1) Citizen Kane...IMO, the best film ever made. 2) Major League...because I love baseball and I need to laugh while waiting for the helicopter from Lost to rescue me. 3) the very underrated Vision Quest...because of the music and the fact that Linda Fiorentino never looked better (but she looked just as good in Men in Black and The Last Seduction).
MattyT Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Mine would be instructional videos: 1) How to build a raft out of common island findings 2) How to navigate waters without any instruments 3) How to make sushi

buckeyemike Posted June 13, 2008 Author Posted June 13, 2008 What, no porn? That's if you have a laptop with a wireless card.
Lurker Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Cast Away (2000) Mysterious Island (1961) Robinson Crusoe (1954)
Fan in San Diego Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Guess Tom Hanks didn't have any of those. No, he also needed dentistry with common objects found on a tropical island.
Steely Dan Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Mine would be instructional videos: 1) How to build a raft out of common island findings 2) How to navigate waters without any instruments 3) How to make sushi I'd prefer books I doubt there's an outlet or a DVD player on a deserted island. So: Galapagos - Kurt Vonnegut A bound book of Shakespeare's plays A book on plants used in chemistry
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Cast Away (2000)Mysterious Island (1961) Robinson Crusoe (1954) What about Swiss Family Robinson? That's the best stranded-on-a-desert-island movie ever made!
RayFinkle Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Surviorman Season 1 Surviorman Season 2 Surviorman Season 3
Chef Jim Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 I know you said movies but I would want the first three seasons of Gilligan's Island. I know I'd get off, I'm not !@#$ing stupid.
MattyT Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 I know you said movies but I would want the first three seasons of Gilligan's Island. I know I'd get off, I'm not !@#$ing stupid. You get off to Gilligan's Island?
KRC Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 You get off to Gilligan's Island? Just because he had a thing for Mrs. Howell, doesn't mean that you should judge.
Steely Dan Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 You get off to Gilligan's Island? Everytime he sits right back and hears a tail.

The Ten Commandments. King of Kings. Ben-Hur. I expect that I will be praying a lot...
Chef Jim Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Just because he had a thing for Mrs. Howell, doesn't mean that you should judge. B word had money.
apuszczalowski Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Mine would be instructional videos: 1) How to build a raft out of common island findings 2) How to navigate waters without any instruments 3) How to make sushi Id take out the sushi one, if you know hoe tyo make a fire you can cook the damn fish As for the third one, I'd say porn is not a wise choice, there goes all my free time and energy. I would go with a Rosie O'Donnell DVD or a Pauly Schore movie, Something so that I won't be temptesd to watch movies, and that will motivate me to get the hell off the island fast so that I could get to a blockbuster and get something not crap Although if I could have 4, even though its not a movie, I would also go with a season of survivor man, one where he spends time on an island
PastaJoe Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 You get off to Gilligan's Island? He can't decide Ginger or Mary Ann.
Pete Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 I agree with Survivorman seasons 1, 2, 3. Les is the man! Of course I would bring a multi tool and a harmonica too!
