Do you think it's fair that Peters is getting payed based on a contract he negotiated at RT? He plays LT now and is one of the leagues elite. He deserves a Reneg. He play a premium position and is an elite talent at that position too. That said, it is more important for us to sign Evans and Crowell, whose contracts actuallt expire THIS year. I agree with locking up Evans, but Crowell will get paid much more then he is worth, probably by the Vikings or 49ers.

destro32
F*ck him....get to camp, play the game and shut up Agreed!! Why even sign a deal that long if you don't honor it... That's like a teacher getting their salary and they put out good test scores so they go to the district and say "I am not teaching next year unless I get a raise." It is total BS if you ask me!! How do you think it would feel if he got hampered by injury or he didn't do well at LT and wasn't starting and was getting paid his current salary... I bet he wouldn't be begging for money then!! Honor the paper you signed yourself - selfish ass......... But on the other side of it - this is the situation the NFL players and agents make - I do good = more $$ or someone else will pay me - It is really sad but true!! NO F*CKING LOYALTY PISSES ME OFF!!! So the player must be loyal to the team unless he under-performs, then its okay for the team to cut him? If the player out-performs his contract though he has to shut his mouth and be loyal? Why do the fanboys always take the teams side? I would like you to explain this train of thought please. Why should players be loyal to their contracts if the teams aren't? Why should players be loyal to their contracts if the teams aren't? Exactly. There is no such thing as loyalty and I get tired of hearing about it. This is a big money business where the employees want to get as much as they can as often as they can and management wants to pay as little as possible as often as they can. It's pretty simple. This is why I hate the off-season. Bring on the games!!!
stuckincincy
According to the article, Burress will show up, but not participate. Seems to me that that would merit a fine, yes?
eball
At least Plaxico is there and communicating. I'm still disappointed Peters isn't in Orchard Park with his teammates and that his dumbass agent hasn't tried to open a dialogue with the Bills' front office (at least not that the media is aware of). I'm still disappointed Peters isn't in Orchard Park with his teammates and that his dumbass agent hasn't tried to open a dialogue with the Bills' front office (at least not that the media is aware of). We have no idea what's going on. And I really don't see why his agent is a "dumbass." He is doing exactly what I would if I was Peters' agent. He is a pro bowl LT and the 3rd highest paid linemen on his own line. If Peters blows his knee out this year, are any of you calling him for not being at camp gonna care if the Bills cut him? Yes, athletes are overpaid and primadonnas. But they can can be because the market dictates that. And I will never get upset if a football player (the most physically demanding game on the planet and the one of the few without guarantee contracts) tries to get a new deal. Pay Peters because he earned a raise with his play on the field.

Show some good faith and get your client there, while at the same time putting together your evidence as to why he's underpaid. Look at how the good and experienced agents do it. As I said in another thread on this topic, it ain't rocket science and it's not as if Peters is in danger of going on food stamps with his salary this season. Thats what you need to do to re-do your deal in the middle. PS..if you ever see me, please dont give me a beat down for writing this. I think where the main differences are; 1.) Plex negotiated a WR contract to play at his best at that position for the duration of his contract and the Giants are asking him to do just that. Peters on the other hand signed a contract to play his best at RT, now the Bills expect him to play LT (for which he was voted to the pro-bowl by the way). 2.) Plex has a degenerative ankle injury that may never heal .... is he still a good reciever even playing "through" the pain .... you bet, but I'll just about guarentee he will not get better than he is right now (maybe even be out of the league in a year or two). Peters on the other hand, although he suffered a groin injury that kept him out of the pro-bowl, is generally healthy and inexperianced at LT ..... will HE get any better in the next few years ....... all indications seem to point to yes. So with Plex ..... we have a player that in all honesty may see the end of his career looming on the horizon and realizes if he doesn't cash in now he never will. and with Peters ..... we have a young upper tier LT being paid yeoman RT wages and wants his due. John from Riverside
I have mixed feelings about this..... He is obviously underpaid for the quality he is giving us...... BUT We dont want to set a precident that we cave in to every player that thinks they deserve a raise. Come on Jason.....come into camp. Work a underneat the table deal that you will get a contract extension at the end of this year and lets move on......you know that we need to resign Lee Evans right now so dont be greedy.
