Jon in Pasadena Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 I remember him from the days of Smerlas, Haslett & Conlan. A good coach and a good guy.

Dr. Trooth Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 I remember him from the days of Smerlas, Haslett & Conlan. I think you mean Shane Nelson instad of Conlan. The Bermuda Triangle. And... IMO... I think Catlin was the best Def.Coordinator the Bills ever had... and notto downplay Wade Phillip's or Ted Cotrell's accomplishments.

At 3:30am my brain thought "Shane..." and my stupid fingers typed "Conlan" for some reason... And I agree that Tom was as good a DC as any we've had. Which, oddly enough, has nothing whatsoever to do with DC Tom.

Disagree here, Joel Collier who was the coordinator with the 65 team was the man. He had Sestak, Stratton and Byrd.
