/dev/null
Who does he think will ultimately pay for this. The evil greedy oil companies and shady CEOs of course! They couldn't possibly pass the cost off on the consumer, could they?

Hey it is worth a try to see where it heads... Or just keep the same old, same old with McBush... Chilly
Like it is getting us far now? Hey it is worth a try to see where it heads... Due to this comment, I hereby propose that we remove the "right" to vote, and make it a "privilege" to vote. Step 1 is passing a question that says: 1.) Is "Hey it is worth a try" a logical reason to institute a policy that would affect every single person in the the entire country? A.) Yes B.) No If you answer A, you are automatically eliminated from being able to vote for 10 years. And all you utopian freaks that think now is the time a third person will get in are even worse dreamers! Adam
The evil greedy oil companies and shady CEOs of course! They couldn't possibly pass the cost off on the consumer, could they? That depends on the supply and demand- if we start digging (which we should) and supply exceeds demand, it would be difficult for them to pass it on regardless of tax. Then again, if we dug up enough oil, chances are the prices would drop enough that the taxes wouldn't hurt us too much. Personally, we should switch over to diesel anyways. There would be a changing cost, but after that, it would be a cheaper fuel, and much cleaner.

I've never been able to decide if English is his 3d language or it's just the schizophrenia typing.

stuckincincy
Who does he think will ultimately pay for this. California is very happy about rising prices, as their State tax revenue is pouring in: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?...0.DTL&tsp=1 Here's a handy graphic showing the governments' tax grab: http://www.taxfoundation.org/blog/show/1492.html And we shouldn't forget that record oil company profits are taxed by the Federal government, so the IRS is currently enjoying their own gusher. Meanwhile, the Chinese will be building oil platforms off of FLA for the Cubans...

And yes, those ideas have worked. Unless, you believe we as a nation would be better served right now pushing the clock back to 1929... Be my guest...
