pentium4ee Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 Is he still available? I mean he might be insurance if Lynch is wacked with a suspension. Face the facts folks, if Lynch gets a suspension no RB on this roster can play at his level, that includes Action Jackson. Season may be doomed before it even begins.......but its the Bills what the hell else is new right? FYI to the authorities involved........LIFT UP CARPET, SWEEP THIS LYNCH PROBLEM UNDER IT.......besides the broad was from Canada, what was she doing here? Id check her to see if she was here legally.......friggin Canuks....... Let me see if I can get this through your skull. A drunk jock hits a woman with his car , looks in the mirror and says 'ah to hell with her I'm out of here'. And your concern is for the suspension ? Sweep this under the carpet ? You must have a very serious thing for football players. I hope you're not a guy. If I was the authority in charge that ahole would have already been arrested and he'd sitting there until bail was set. I'd probably do some very unsanitary things to that scumbag's food while he was behind bars.
Astrobot Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 This IS NOT a post to defend Lynch. If he broke the law - punish him as any other person would be punished. That being said - has anyone tried to drive around Chippewa at that time of night (morning)? It's actually quite amazing - and sickeningly funny to watch. But more importantly, DRUNK PEOPLE DO NOT WATCH WHERE THEY ARE WALKING! While stone cold sober, I almost took out a group of 4 guys who didn't even look at traffic. I have been saying there will be carnage down there someday. People stumble out on Delaware against the green light and EXPECT cars to stop for them... even if going 30 mph with a head of steam. Jaywalking, the taunting of cars, fights rolling into the street... Funny side note - the guys who walked in front of me had some great beer muscles going on that night... they ran after my car for a few hundred yards. I kept slowing down too keep 'em running. Drunk people are easy to mess with. Drunk people don't ever attend to what they are doing, much less where they are walking. This is not to exonerate Lynch, who should get what's scumming to him. Nothing good ever happens at that hour. If you have a posse, their job is to keep you out of trouble.
Tim Anderson's Lunch Pail Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 Shaun Alexander has visited both Cincinnati and New Orleans. I think there is clearly a reason why the MVP of only a few years ago can't latch on.
Pete Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 Lots of good happens at 4 AM. That is when lots of good times happen. Some of us are night owls. And for those that don't understand- go to Spain. 4 AM is after dinner drinks!
pentium4ee Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 First of all, IF Lynch gets suspended, at worse case scenario I can't see him getting more than 4 games. Don't think we'd want to pay Shaun Alexander $5 million to be a 4 week insurance policy. Besides, has anyone actually seen Alexander play during the past two seasons?? He's barely an average running back these days. I think Jackson can handle most of the load for a few weeks, if need be. Perhaps we sign someone...but not someone like Alexander, who is going to break the bank. Travis Henry is another bad idea. He's trouble, and was just released because of some "dedication issues." Do we really need someone like that on our team, just because he's another ex-Bill looking for work?? Perhaps we should re-re-sign Peerless too. Anyway...I hope that Mr. Goodell can see this whole "accident" as a stupid mistake of an otherwise pretty decent person. Worst case senario would be no suspension. He deserves a year at least.
BuffaloBilliever Posted June 7, 2008 Posted June 7, 2008 Let's pick up Lamont Jordan for a 7th rounder or something.
obie_wan Posted June 7, 2008 Posted June 7, 2008 Bring back Travis or give the Raiders a 5 for Jordan. I always liked him, a strong runner with good hands. Makes sense Travis would fit the Bills definition of a high character guy to step into Lynch's shoes.
Dr. Fong Posted June 7, 2008 Posted June 7, 2008 Alexander is NOT an upgrade over Fred Jackson. Not even close. I'll have what he's drinking.
stinky finger Posted June 7, 2008 Posted June 7, 2008 Makes sense Travis would fit the Bills definition of a high character guy to step into Lynch's shoes. Just to get us thru a 4 game suspension then can his fatherly a$$. Character be damned. okey dokey, obie? .......

But its nice to know you would do that to someones food, hope you dont work in the food industry! But in all reality though, if you thought I was serious, your DUMB!

Steely Dan Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 We would never be able to fully place the load on him. With that said though, adding him to the team couldn't hurt. If we frequently cycled him in and out and kept him fresh, he might be able to produce. Given how long he's been on the market, maybe the team can get him at a discount. However, we should probably wait and see what happens with Lynch before we do anything. If someone gets Alexander during that time period, it wouldn't be a huge loss because there are a couple of other out of work RBs that we could bring in to work on a platoon. The fact that he hasn't been signed yet speaks volumes. I love Lynch as much as the next Bills fan but he is accountable for his actions. If Lynch broke the law he should be a man and admit it and face the consequences. To many athletes today think they are above the law and get away with trouble most everyday Joes have to deal with. Sweeping the Lynch controversy under the rug is ignorant and inexcusable and a slap in the face to every ordinary citizen.[ Shouldn't that post be in one of the 100 Marshawn Lynch threads here and not in a Sean Alexander one? For those asking about Shaun Alexander's current status: http://www.kffl.com/player/1715/nfl/news I agree Stop-Gap player.
IDBillzFan Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 A drunk jock hits a woman with his car , looks in the mirror and says 'ah to hell with her I'm out of here'. I was wondering what actually happened. I had no idea you were in the car. Have you told the police this? They probably want to talk to you. I mean, you have such incredible attention to detail, one could only assume you were there. I mean, it's not like you're making a pathetic look-at-me assumption, or something !@#$ing moronic like that, right? Nahh. Couldn't be that. So were you in the front seat or back? Wait. You were in the trunk, right? I knew that was you. Dude...you, like, totally rock.
