yall Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 For those of us at work, if any of you are watchng, could you please post a brief synopsis?
DC Tom Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 They say that in connection with the hit-and-run, charges are being filed for assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault, and carrying a concealed weapon against James Hardy, because dammit the boy is just guilty as sin of everything...

Tom! You had me for a second with the assault with a deadly weapon...
erynthered Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 tHE STREAM IS !@#$EED UP. tHE ONLY THING i HEARD WAS A FEMALE REPORTER ASKING THE COP WHY THEY JUST DONT GO DOWN TO rws AND ASK HIM IF HE WAS IN THE CAR. cOP WAS PISSED SAYING tHIS IS PART OF AN ONGOING INVESTIGZATIOON. THEN i GOT CUT OFF (sh-- sorry for the caps and the run on )
DwightSchrute Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 I just caught it a bit late, but he seems to just be saying that it is under investigation with the evidence that they have and they're trying to get answers. They want to wrap it up ASAP. If guilty, it is a Class A Misdemeanor punishable up to a year in prison and/or $1,000 fine. Victim is considering pressing charges. "Someone will be charged" they just haven't spoken to Lynch or his attorney yet. The guy keeps making football analogies which is pretty weird and unprofessional kind of playing to the crowd... Still looking for answers and if they can't get them they'll have to "take other action"
IDBillzFan Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 This is bizarre. They say they can't do anything because they first have to find Lynch to talk to him. Meanwhile, Chris Brown says Lynch is at OTAs today. Keystone Cops is a term that comes to mind.

KD in CA Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 A press conference to say "we have no news"? Gotta love the 24x7 news-entertainment industry.
MattyT Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 It's possible that Marshawn is about to understand the advantage to playing in a small-market town/region where everyone lives and dies in accordance with the success of the local pro football team.
DC Tom Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 A press conference to say "we have no news"? Gotta love the 24x7 news-entertainment industry. A crime involving in some way a high-profile local celebrity is an opportunity for three or four police officers to get some face time, regardless of whether or not there's news. It's ridiculous, and utterly predictable. Hey, did anyone see WGRZ's story down the page about the Bigfoot sighting in Clarence? Cool...
thebug Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 These cops are sharp! "we have to find him first" ah I know where he is...and I know if it was my car I would be in custody
IDBillzFan Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 You have to love it when a reporter ultimately has to explain, "Look, we're not questioning whether the police have done the right thing, but why haven't you done ANYTHING?"
RayFinkle Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 You have to love it when a reporter ultimately has to explain, "Look, we're not questioning whether the police have done the right thing, but why haven't you done ANYTHING?"
yall Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Should we call the BPD's anonymous tip line? "Pssst - I know where Lynch is. He's holed up in this giant white barn in Orchard Park..."
Tux of Borg Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 This is bizarre. They say they can't do anything because they first have to find Lynch to talk to him. Meanwhile, Chris Brown says Lynch is at OTAs today. Keystone Cops is a term that comes to mind. Sounds like they don't have enough PC for an arrest.
thebug Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 You have to love it when a reporter ultimately has to explain, "Look, we're not questioning whether the police have done the right thing, but why haven't you done ANYTHING?" One reporter asked how the cops new who Marshawn's laywer was, he says something like "we have ways".....but can't find Marshawn? looks fishy....
thebug Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Sounds like they don't have enough PC for an arrest. Asking some questions is a good start.
