Beerball Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 Was watching Family Guy last night and they had a "see you next tuesday" reference. On the poster for the school lesbian club meeting welcoming Meg. Why don't the censors know about this underground subculture dictionary stuff? What if my 9 year old daughter had seen that poster?
PastaJoe Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 Why don't the censors know about this underground subculture dictionary stuff? What if my 9 year old daughter had seen that poster? Your daughter belongs to a school lesbian club?
VOR Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 Your daughter belongs to a school lesbian club? ...and knows what "See you next Tuesday" refers to/means? Whether she should even be watching "Family Guy" is another matter entirely.
Beerball Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 ...and knows what "See you next Tuesday" refers to/means? Whether she should even be watching "Family Guy" is another matter entirely. How many kids you got VOR? What are their ages?
KD in CA Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 Why don't the censors know about this underground subculture dictionary stuff? Hmmm....how come mainstream idiots don't know about underground stuff. That's a mind bender there....
Beerball Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 Hmmm....how come mainstream idiots don't know about underground stuff. That's a mind bender there.... You sir are a master of the obvious, but like VOR your sarcasm detector is on the fritz today.
The Poojer Posted June 4, 2008 Author Posted June 4, 2008 i have a 9 year old boy, and i figure rather he watch it with me in the room than for him to sneak it, that way i can try to instill in him that some things are not appropriate for him to say or do...kids are gonna find that stuff anyway, i prefer to be with them to monitor and advise on how they process what they are seeing....dont know if that is the right way to do it, but i think the hospital forgot to give me my universal parenting handbook..so i am just winging it ...and knows what "See you next Tuesday" refers to/means? Whether she should even be watching "Family Guy" is another matter entirely.
Pete Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 I get a coffee just about every day in my local coffee shop and there is an older lady who loves to talk to me that works there. Well yesterday I bought my coffee, chatted a bit, and when I left she said "see you next Tuesday" with great enthusiasm! I cracked up when I walked outside. That happened right after I read this thread
