berndogg Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 Trent Edwards gets a 79 rating, tied with tavaris jackson and josh mccown for 2nd worst among starting qbs. Brodie Croyle gets a 78. We've got no shot with this guy at the helm. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_...-?urn=nfl,85538

lets_go_bills Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 Wait a minute. Are you actually saying our team's real-world success is contingent on how a videogame rates our players? Are you insane? These are no more than predictions like anything else.
KD in CA Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 The last Madden I played was '93, but isn't the fun still in winning despite a half ass team?
Fewell733 Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 79 isn't a fair rating. Behind Chris Redman, Todd Collins, Jason Campbell, Matt Ryan, Brady Quinn, Jamarcus Russell, etc. Thankfully they let you just edit everything and set things right. here's another site that has most of the rankings, but in a very awkward format Lynch is a 90 Peters is a 97 Evans is a 91 McGee is a 93!! McKelvin and Greer are an 82 Whitner is a 92 Crowell is a 90 http://www.pastapadre.com/2645/madden-09-p...tings?nggpage=2
apuszczalowski Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 What? How dare they rate a QB with only half a years experience whos praise always comes with the tag ".......for a rookie" and has yet to reach his potential going into his second year a 79 in the latest video game! He should have been given a 200 rating, don't they know he shows Poise! The only one listed above that I might question is Chris Redman. But Matt Ryan, Brady Quinn and Jemarcus Russell are all first round QB's with first round talent (apparantly). Its no surprise that those guys are rated higher then a 3rd rounder who may have potential to be a good starter. Todd Collins is an NFL vet who played really well for Washington to end the year, and Jason Campbell has played well and has more experience.
Buftex Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 The last Madden I played was '93, but isn't the fun still in winning despite a half ass team? When I play, I try to play with the worst team possible, to make it a little more challanging.
RayFinkle Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 When I play, I try to play with the BILLS, to make it a little more challanging. Edited that for you...
Dr. Fong Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 If they had a scoring field goals stat I bet he'd be a 99.

I don't even watch the games, i just wait for the madden rankings to come out every year

I don't even watch the games, i just wait for the madden rankings to come out every year Try A.P.B.A. pro football: http://www.apbastadium.com/stadium/games/b...o_football.html Caution: It requires two live humans, takes an hour and a half to play a game, there are no trades, you have to spend time setting up the roster - especially the OL, DL and other non "skill" players, and...you need pencil and pad to record stats.

Get the rose colored glasses off. He's barely not a rookie who has played very little and not done a whole lot when he's been in there. In addition, he didn't have big numbers in college.
