slothrop Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 I love these type of lists on here because I learn about movies I have not seen. Someone mentioned Galaxy Quest in another thread and I wondered what were your favorite underrated comedy? I like only listing them one at a time - easier to read and comment on. So mine is: Detroit Rock City
PromoTheRobot Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 "Kingpin" starring Woody Harrelson. "Repo Man" with Emilio Estevez. PTR
DrDawkinstein Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 Cable Guy (stiller and carey's best work, great dark comedy) Wet Hot American Summer (cast of the State/Reno 911)
Mr Info Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 Mystery Men with Ben Stiller, Hank Azaria, Geoffrey Rush, William H. Macy, Greg Kinnear, Jeanne Garofalo, Tom Waits, Paul Reubens, Kel Mitchell, and Louise Lasser.
gmac17 Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 Drop Dead Gorgeous. Would have been a hit except it came out the same weekend as American Pie.
Kelly the Dog Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 Shakes The Clown -- "The Citizen Kane of alcoholic clown movies"
Kevbeau Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 Me, Myself & Irene Van Wilder Ski School Not sure if they're overlooked, but Road Trip almost made me piss myself the first time I saw it. Euro Trip wasn't far behind.
The Poojer Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 Zoolander is one of my guilty pleasures, that movie cracks me up everytime i watch it
IDBillzFan Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 Three Amigos, though I don't know if it's considered underrated. The "My Little Buttercup" scene was worth the price of admission by itself. "Wherever there is injustice, you will find us. Wherever there is suffering, we'll be there."
MattyT Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 Outside Providence This was the first that came to mind.
buckeyemike Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure...a terrific movie. I'm convinced Mike Myers used it as a blueprint for Wayne's World.
stuckincincy Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 Zoolander is one of my guilty pleasures, that movie cracks me up everytime i watch it I agree. Stiller was hilarious.
stuckincincy Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 Top Secret That was a good one - the Pinto scene.
MattyT Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 Me, Myself & IreneVan Wilder Ski School Not sure if they're overlooked, but Road Trip almost made me piss myself the first time I saw it. Euro Trip wasn't far behind. Van Wilder and Road Trip are both good calls.
