Wacka
I remember his incidents on AM Buffalo and him riling up the pro-abortion protesters in front of his house by opening the drapes and waving to them. Jimmy was one of a kind!

Lori
The famous quote on the 1985 blizzard: "Stay home, enjoy your family, watch Channel 7, and get a six-pack." At least that's the version WKBW showed last night. Something I didn't know: he was an Army Ranger during the Korean War. I raise a pint of Guinness in your honor, Your Honor. Rest well. MarkyMannn
All these episodes aside, the guy did a lot to re-juvenate Buffalo, keep taxes low, and down-size city government. Good accomplishments that someone today ought to try, starting with our state gov't
Lori
A quality post in Nick Mendola's WGR blog: Rest in peace, Jimmy Griffin And for future reference, I dig Nick's blog, as well as his postgame Bills stuff. If he ever decides radio's not for him (which I doubt would happen), he could certainly move to writing.
Dwight Drane
We need more of those today. RIP. Amen. Even if you don't agree with the guy, you know he believes what he is telling you. Almost any national politician is so full of BS that you don't even know where to start in figuring out their honesty. If the White House and Congress was filled with Jimmy Griffins, sure, Haliburton or his equivilent of it would still get thrown sweet contracts...but I bet you anything we would have been in, and out of the Middle East by now.....but we wouldn't be seeing anymore videos of Osama bin Laden.
