We're saved!!! NASA has found the Bills red zone offense!
DrDawkinstein Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 We're saved!!! NASA has found the Bills red zone offense! first off, LOL at that. but for real, this announcement, along with THIS ANNOUNCEMENT from the vatican, makes me think that some big news may be coming... did NASA find life on another planet? the vatican announcement would be perfect damage control.

Did they say that the aliens weren't created in God's image?
DrDawkinstein Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 Did they say that the aliens weren't created in God's image? they didnt say, but im sure a Missionary trip is already in the works to convert them all to Christ.
DrDawkinstein Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 dont you find it a little weird (even for the church) to just come out with this out of no where?
DrDawkinstein Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 The aliens were created to test our faith. LOL, i was about to make that joke too. Aliens and dinosaurs, that tricky Christ!
MattyT Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 LOL, i was about to make that joke too. Aliens and dinosaurs, that tricky Christ! I bet The Creation Museum is working on a new outer space diorama as we speak. Maybe the aliens will be wearing saddles. They will obviously be subservient to mankind.
X. Benedict Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 dont you find it a little weird (even for the church) to just come out with this out of no where? Actually, that doesn't come out of nowhere. It is straight from the middle ages. The idea that God is fontalis plentidudo - fountain of plenty - an infinite creation from an infinite Creator - has long had cosmic implications. The theological concept probably led Newton and Leibniz to their calculus. But as far as the Church, there is really no theological problem with an infinite and life-filled universe.

stuckincincy Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 I bet The Creation Museum is working on a new outer space diorama as we speak. Maybe the aliens will be wearing saddles. They will obviously be subservient to mankind. It's located in my neck of the woods. When it opened, there were hateful protesters cursing people for exercising their beliefs. How nice...
Arkady Renko Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 Why would this have anything to do with aliens? Based on the bio of the Harvard researcher, it seems like this is some sort of black hole discovery.
Sketch Soland Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 it don't hold a candle to dis one What can be said? Mr. Starr is truly a shining beacon of awesomeness.

Cugalabanza Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 it don't hold a candle to dis one You're too kind. But the dicky-doo jokes are always a big hit in the peanut gallery. You got a laugh without goin' blue.
John Adams Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 they didnt say, but im sure a Missionary trip is already in the works to convert them all to Christ. There's a book by Maria Doria Russell called The Sparrow (or maybe The Sparrow is the sequel book) that is exactly this premise. Interesting piece of science fiction.
