Pete Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 In honor of Cinco de Mayo- who has a great margarita recipe? I make a nice margarita, but I am gonna try the Cooks Illustrated(I love Cooks Illustrated!) margarita recipe on Monday- 4 teaspoons lime zest 4 teaspoons lemon zest 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice 1/2 cup fresh lime juice 1/4 cup sugar 1 cup triple sec 1 cup agave tequilla respesado and salt of course mix sugar, lemon and lime juice, and zest and let sit overnight to let flavors meld. Add booze the next day, salt the rims of a chilled margarita glass, pour and serve. I will be serving those with empanadas, turkey mole, pico de gallo, and a black bean soup. Salud!
Pete Posted May 4, 2008 Author Posted May 4, 2008 Anything that is mixed with Cabo Wabo You mix Cabo Wabo? That is tragic! I too love Cabo Wabo but would never think of mixing it

Booster4324 Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 3 parts lime juice, 2 parts tequila, 1 part orange liqueur. Surprisingly good. Heard it on David Letterman and only drank it once, but I loved it. Mind you, as a bartender, I always put more lime juice in my margaritas and got tons of compliments.
