stewy23 Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 I just saw John Clayton on ESPN say "James Hardy will make the most impact of any of the rookie Wide Receivers or Tight Ends...if he gets 50+ catches and plays well, the Bills will make the playoffs." I like it better when ESPN ignores us.
Sherman Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 I like John Clayton but I think he looks like a freaky puppet.
Pete Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 I like John Clayton but I think he looks like a freaky puppet. I feel bad for him- he is a freaky looking dude. He has the weirdest balding pattern. It is like his hair only grows behind his ears and on the back of his head
Astrobot Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 When Clayton stops talking, his mouth stops moving. It was then I knew he was either a puppet, an incarnation of Max Headroom, or an alien.
Like A Mofo Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 So you are pissed when we hate on you, and pissed when you get love. WTF???
stewy23 Posted May 1, 2008 Author Posted May 1, 2008 So you are pissed when we hate on you, and pissed when you get love. WTF??? No one said anything about being pissed. Pissed isn't the word. I feel jinxed.
lets_go_bills Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 The "hate" comes off as uneducated ignorance. The "love" is terrifying because it either means we're gonna be a force to reckon with, or it's just pity. But I would have to agree with Clayton on his comment. Go Bills.
Buftex Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 So you are pissed when we hate on you, and pissed when you get love. WTF??? I don't know who you are, or who you were, but your screen name, avatar and tag rock!
DwightSchrute Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 I agree Hardy should have a big impact and I like Clayton, but he's pretty hit or miss (who isn't?). If I remember correctly, he was raving about JP's progress last year in Training Camp and claimed that he didn't miss any receivers, will have a big year, yada yada... We all know how that prediction went.
Chandler#81 Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 I like John Clayton but I think he looks like a freaky puppet. He looks like a cartoon turtle
WellDressed Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 When Clayton stops talking, his mouth stops moving. Yea and then some drool hangs from his upper lip. He is just one nasty looking human being.
Bullpen Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 He looks like a cartoon turtle Doctor Bunson Honeydew from Muppet Labs... http://www.flickr.com/photos/57779144@N00/360889523/ (in honor of the suspended LSI)
kendrickoffice Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 I always like this comparison from PFT http://www.themathlab.com/images/cartoons/1gazoobig.jpg ...the great gazoo of the flintstones
clownments22 Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 I just saw John Clayton on ESPN say "James Hardy will make the most impact of any of the rookie Wide Receivers or Tight Ends...if he gets 50+ catches and plays well, the Bills will make the playoffs." I like it better when ESPN ignores us. Certain people predicted that Marshawn and/or Posluszny would be rookies of the year. Marshawn was a finalist, and Paul was leading the league in tackles at the end of week 2. I'm superstitious about some things, but I'm not worried about a jinx on this one. I think Hardy will have a good chance of catching some jump balls in the end zone, with his basketball background, and he looks like he has good hands from the videos I've seen of his play. I'm not counting on him to be a game breaker consistently, but I think we can count on more than a few big plays, and to take some pressure off of Lee, and I think Roscoe will benefit from a few more long balls also as a result.
Arkady Renko Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 Brandon's a marketing man and he knows the importance of favorable media coverage for season ticket sales. Feed them info, praise their egos and you get favorable coverage. No biggie.
ROCCEO Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 Sean Salisbury calls him "cryptkeeper" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zi7XtBv94pE (1:25 mark) He also calls him a clown
eball Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 I would much rather hear comments like this than "the Bills don't have enough players" -- something we've heard repeatedly over the past 4-5 years. Bills fans are really remarkable. Damn the media for not giving us props, but damn the media for daring to suggest we might be successful. Freaking neurotics.
DrDawkinstein Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 last year, it was Clayton who started the buzz from camp about "the Bills' high-powered offense" i wish he'd just leave us alone
