EZC-Boston
http://www.usatoday.com/sports/poker/2008-04-30-WSOP_N.htm I don't like this at all. I've purchased the WSOP final table PPV the last few years and I love it. I think the hard core fans care about it when it happens and the other fans will watch casually in the fall. I don't like at all that this throws coaching into the mix either. If I was actually playing in it, I would definitely hate it. Can you imagine all the build up to the final table? KD in CA
Lame. WTF does ESPN need to wait till Nov to show it anyway? People who want to watch it don't need it edited to that extent.

EZC-Boston
\99% of gamblers lose their hide. I guess TSW'ers buck the trend... Not sure what that has to do with anything but whatever... I assume ESPN wants to extend it that long for ratings. I can't get on any poker sites at work but I can't wait to check out what Cardplayer and Poker Road think of this. Actually I'm off to hit up the 2+2 forums, there should be some good discussion there.
Cornerville
The WSOP is now a sham. And Texas Hold Em is overexposed now.

You do realize that poker is not against the house....there are winners and losers, so if only 1% won they would be a very rich 1%
ajzepp
There's nothing like sitting down at a live table in a casino at 3am with a handful of other people and using skill, tempered a bit by luck, to take figure out how you can take more money from them than they can take from you. I know this has nothing to do with the schedule change of the WSOP, but I felt like saying it anyway.

Totally agree, love the poker rooms that get a lot of foot traffic, drunk people sitting down on their way home from the bars/clubs and just blowing through their money. Flamingo room used to be a favorite for this.

Flamingo room used to be a favorite for this. I've only had a taste of it when I went to Biloxi last year, but I can't wait to go back. I can see why a lot of top online players do well live, cause it's much easier to get a read when you're among real people. I spent most of my time fumbling around with chips and trying to get used to the physical part of the game, but now that I'm over my initial stage fright, I'm ready to BRING IT, BABY! BTW, anyone living near Cherokee, NC, the Harrah's casino there has just decided to get table games. Supposedly by the end of the year they'll have some semblance of a poker room

Dude, the Gordon avatar has to go. I can't believe you'd admit to being a Gordon fan in public.
