Hazed and Amuzed Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Not much of a hockey fan myself but it was just reported that Sean Avery was taken to the hospital in cardiac arrest and wasn't breathing.
Hazed and Amuzed Posted April 30, 2008 Author Posted April 30, 2008 Was Martin Brodeur anywhere near the scene? This is how little I know about hockey: What does that mean?
JM57 Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 This is how little I know about hockey: What does that mean? Watch this, you will understand.
Alaska Darin Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 This is how little I know about hockey: What does that mean? There was an "incident" between the two on the ice in their first round playoff series that resulted in the NHL "clarifying" a rule - something they rarely do. In any event, good wishes to Avery.
Hazed and Amuzed Posted April 30, 2008 Author Posted April 30, 2008 Watch this, you will understand. Ahh!!! Seems like a dick move. Well wishes to him anyway.
PastaJoe Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 NEW YORK (WABC) -- The New York Daily News is reporting New York Ranger Sean Avery was rushed to a Manhattan hospital Wednesday in cardiac arrest just hours after the team's loss. Avery, 28, arrived at St. Vincent's Medical Center about 3 a.m., according to the report. The Rangers had just lost 5-3 a short time earlier in the Stanley Cup playoffs against the Pittsburgh Penguins at Madison Square Garden.
RayFinkle Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 TSN is reporting that he was taken to the hospital after the game and has a lacerated spleen. So much for the cardiac arrest story.
bartshan-83 Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 TSN is reporting that he was taken to the hospital after the game and has a lacerated spleen. So much for the cardiac arrest story. ESPN reporting the same thing
Ramius Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 He's a sack of sh-- on the ice, but i hope he's ok. Never want to see anyone with life threatening injuries.

MattyT Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Same thing happened to Peter Forsberg during the 2001 playoffs. It takes several months to recover.
taterhill Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Avery called Brodeur "Fatso" during an interview....
