cale Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 I know - I know we have too many cooks as it is...But this guy knew talent... http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/foot...f.ap/index.html
Lurker Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Best scout the Bills ever had, including Dwight Adams....
Lurker Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Would love to have him back in Buffalo..... At 68, I'm sure he's retired...I wonder how many miles he's traveled around the country over the past 50 years?
IndyJay1234 Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 At 68, I'm sure he's retired...I wonder how many miles he's traveled around the country over the past 50 years? In the Bills organization 68 is a young punk... With another 10- 12 years of seasoning he might have the experience to be the GM...
Peter Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 I wonder who Buddy pissed off. You also may have noticed who got promoted. Hint: same last name as the owner.
cale Posted April 30, 2008 Author Posted April 30, 2008 He's done. Time to sit on the rocking chair... There's retirement and then there's Retry-ement...
Lurker Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 I wonder who Buddy pissed off. He didn't piss off anyone...he retired.
HurlyBurly51 Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 No way - this guy burned his bridges when he left with the Butler crowd.
Lurker Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 There's retirement and then there's Retry-ement... Not at 68. The travel requirements have to get hard at that age. And since Buddy's always been a scout at heart, I can't see him being content with a front office gig...
Lurker Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 No way - this guy burned his bridges when he left with the Butler crowd. I'd be the first guy in line to help rebuild them if he was 10 years younger...
HurlyBurly51 Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 I'd be the first guy in line to help rebuild them if he was 10 years younger... Ralph has a loooong memory.
In space no one can hear Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Sure it would be great to have Buddy Nix back in the fold, if even on a part time basis. To think the Bills staff once contained the following superior football men, all at the same time: Bill Polian John Butler A.J. Smith Buddy Nix Dwight Adams Marv Levy with that staff we were a powerhouse. and now? Dick Jauron- he's a nice guy Russ Brandon- marketing guru John Guy-should have been fired Linda Bogdan -Ralph's meddling daughter Tom Modrak- lives in Florida and has to be forced to even visit Buffalo
