DrDawkinstein Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 funny that the Bills are getting less money for these Toronto games than Nate Clements will make in that time. this league is ridiculous.
IDBillzFan Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 funny that the Bills are getting less money for these Toronto games than Nate Clements will make in that time. this league is ridiculous. The difference is Clements will never see his $80M.
Sen. John Blutarsky Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Finally, Toronto in the only role it's good for...Sugar Daddy...
kota Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 It's lower then i expected they would get. 78 Million over 5 years
PromoTheRobot Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 It's lower then i expected they would get. 78 Million over 5 years Not really. The Bills currently gross $6M per home game. That's all revenue from tickets, concessions, parking, etc. But they have to pay stadium costs, employees, police, etc, all the expenses of hosting game from that. The Bills get $9.75M from each Toronto game WITH NO ADDED COSTS! So playing one game in Toronto is like playing two games at RWS. No brainer. PTR

PTR Quite right...and only further illustration that Bills will play many more than 2 per year in TO. The new owner will have paid a price that reflects the 78 mil reality and the realization that he/she/they can make more than twice as much in To...In less than 10 years hence we will be lucky to have 4 regular season games at the Ralph!

Even paying $78M to Ralph, Mr. Rogers will gross around $40M for 10 games. And if he does end up owning the Bills, expect a new 70,000+ stadium to be built in Canada. I do foresee such a future, with more home games in Toronto than Buffalo. But I also see the NFL insisting any new Toronto owner maintain some contact to Buffalo. Imagine the "Buffalo Bills of Toronto" with 7-8 games in T.O. and 3-4 at RWS, or whatever it will be called. (FYI: the NFL is debating a 17-game schedule with one neutral site game. If that happens Buffalo would likely get that extra game yearly...hence the 8/3 or 7/4 split) PTR
