justnzane Posted October 17, 2004 Posted October 17, 2004 Miami HeraldLINEBACKERS • Dolphins: You have to wonder if MLB Zach Thomas is starting to press a little under the strain of all the losing. He went for a big hit last week against RB Corey Dillon rather than a simple tackle he would routinely make. Junior Seau and Morlon Greenwood are holding up just fine. • Patriots: London Fletcher loves to play the Dolphins because he privately believes that he's better than Thomas. Takeo Spikes is a big-time hitter, but not quite as good as he thinks. OLB Jeff Posey is the unsung link in a group that is solid. • Advantage: Dolphins Yes the paper actually did put Patriots as our column. I still can't figure out why they are hating on TKO so bad. He is much better than an aging Seau as I'd take Posey over Greenwood.
Rico Posted October 17, 2004 Posted October 17, 2004 Hate to say it, but I think it's close to a wash.
justnzane Posted October 17, 2004 Author Posted October 17, 2004 Rico i luv that avatar. I still think that miami's backer's are not as good as this writer loves to think.
TigerJ Posted October 17, 2004 Posted October 17, 2004 I'm watching the game as I write. Takeo Spikes, just intercepts Fiedler and runs back for a TD. I wonder if the Miami Herald writer still thinks he's overrated.
Fla Bills Fan Posted October 17, 2004 Posted October 17, 2004 The Fins linebackers WERE great at one time. They are getting older & slower with each passing game. The Miami O is not making it any easier on them. They are spending more time on the field, by the end of the game their legs are dead.
jester43 Posted October 17, 2004 Posted October 17, 2004 thomas and seau played well today...plus they don't do nearly as much stupid stevestojan as our guys do. we'll see who looks better after we play the game in miami...
