Arkady Renko Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 I think I recall a 4th rounder not making it in the 1990s, but maybe my memory is faulty. Can anyone think of relatively highly drafted players who could not make the team for a rookie season? Also, what was the name of that WR who barely made the team and then when players were asked who was always late to meetings, it was this guy?
Lurker Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 1.) Walt Patulski, 1972, #1 overall... 1A.) Tom Cousineau, 1979, #1 overall...
Arkady Renko Posted April 29, 2008 Author Posted April 29, 2008 1.) Walt Patulski, 1972, #1 overall... Before my time, but didn't he actually play the first year? I mean a player who did not make it on the time for a rookie season.
Sen. John Blutarsky Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 1.) Walt Patulski, 1972, #1 overall... 1A.) Tom Cousineau, 1979, #1 overall... Patulski made the team, Cousineau never signed
Sen. John Blutarsky Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 How about Bernard Ford WR 3rd round 1988 from Central Florida
Lurker Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Before my time, but didn't he actually play the first year? I mean a player who did not make it on the time for a rookie season. As far as I can tell, there were two second rounders who didn't make the roster: Complete Bills Draft History 1980: Gene Bradley (#37 overall) 1975: Glen Loft (#50 overall) (Nice draft database)
dhg Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 1.) Walt Patulski, 1972, #1 overall... 1A.) Tom Cousineau, 1979, #1 overall... Patulski played 4 seasons for the Bills. Cousineau chose to go to Canada before the Bills eventually traded his rights to Cleveland.
Sen. John Blutarsky Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 There's never been anyone drafted higher than the 3rd round that failed to make the team: Complete Bills Draft History Gene Bradley #37 overall 2nd round QB from Arkansas State. Does not show up on the 1980 roster. I was 2. Help anyone?
Pete Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 What about Booker Moore? He was not short on talent- he was diagnosed with Guillian-Barre' syndrome shortly after being drafted
Lurker Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 What about Booker Moore? He was not short on talent- he was diagnosed with Guillian-Barre' syndrome shortly after being drafted Booker played four seasons...
