Marcus Buggs is a seriously good athlete who can still get better at disengaging from blocks and tackling, but is already an excellent nickelbacker type with wheels and hips to stay with elite NFL TEs. Like the other Vandy players, Buggs is also smart and of high character. He projects as a Will.

Buggs was a HS RB and, judging from his wheels, he likely should have stayed there, meaning his wheels are that good. The Bills really ought to do themselves a favor and check Buggs out as a RB too. Don't assume the Vandy coach had him at the right position. The Vandy coach, Bobby Johnson, certainly did not play at Vandy, in part because he had no chance getting past the academic requirements.

The truth is that Vanderbilt had a record Draft class this year, but was once again unable to stop the losing streak at 25. Bobby Johnson is a terrible gameday coach. Vandy lost three late heartbreakers to UGA, UK, and UT, and would have been in the SEC Championship had they won those. They fumbled on the UGA 10 yard line with 2 minutes to go after blowing a 17-7 halftime lead because Bobby was dumb and sat on the lead and also rotated QBs the whole game, despite the clear and obvious truth that one of them was too injured to throw properly. They ended the UK game at UK's 20 down 6 going out on downs. Then Vandy blew a two touchdown lead at UT.

Bobby Johnson lucked out landing Jay Cutler, whose other offers closed up on him.

Then Bobby was able to recruit players like Earl Bennett off Cutler. But, truth be told, Bobby is just seriously talented at losing SEC games. This was a much better Vandy roster than its record.

The notion that Vandy is better "because" of Bobby Johnson is totally wrong. Bobby Johnson had the best Vandy talent ever, and simply found ways to lose with it. Marcus Buggs is such a talent, and he goes undrafted in part because the NFL is extremely dumb and doesn't get it that Bobby Johnson lost with an incredibly talented Vandy roster.

You will be pleased with Buggs. The kid is a player.
