IDBillzFan Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Sirius 2-minute drill said there's a "published report" that the Bills are hosting OLB Donnie Spragan from Miami today. Discuss.
Sen. John Blutarsky Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 -yawn- 31 year old (32 by opening day) FA LB who was cast off a 1-15 defense and is now looking for his 6th team. Not so much interested.
IDBillzFan Posted April 28, 2008 Author Posted April 28, 2008 What if it isn't worth discussing? We can always discuss Edwards/Losman...
Sen. John Blutarsky Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 So what happened with that BJ from your wife yesterday? That pan out for ya? Last I heard, the BJ was going to be traded for a future BJ and a player to be named later at the 2009 draft...
scribo Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 The stinkin' fish's backup OLB the past few years. Sacked Losman once upon a time. Camp fodder, likely.
DrDawkinstein Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 We can always discuss Edwards/Losman... OK OK ill talk about the linebacker.. yeesh ummm. what falstaff said. (edit: the first time, not about the beej)
Sen. John Blutarsky Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 ummm. what falstaff said. (edit: the first time, not about the beej) I was looking for a better topic than JP/Trent.
MattyT Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 -yawn- 31 year old (32 by opening day) FA LB who was cast off a 1-15 defense and is now looking for his 6th team. Not so much interested. What is he? Mormon?
Sen. John Blutarsky Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 What is he? Mormon? No no, that's Donnie Osmond
RayFinkle Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 We can always discuss Edwards/Losman... We could, but everybody knows Losman blows.
JasoninMT Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 We could, but everybody knows Losman blows. Yep, and Edwards Sucks... I'm just sayin...
Huuuge Bills Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Bring back Haggan. Even if we do, he'd be suspended for the first 4 weeks. We just drafted a bunch of ST'ers yesterday anyway.
Big Turk Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 -yawn- 31 year old (32 by opening day) FA LB who was cast off a 1-15 defense and is now looking for his 6th team. Not so much interested. Another special teams signing?
ans4e64 Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Even if we do, he'd be suspended for the first 4 weeks. We just drafted a bunch of ST'ers yesterday anyway. Oh, right. Forgot about that one. I'd still prefer a bigger LB like Spragan. I'm sick of all these 220lb LBers (Keith Ellison, Coy Wire, Digiorgio, now Bowen).
Búfalo Blanco Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 What if it isn't worth discussing? What is worth discussing is the fact that you should stop spanking me....
keepthefaith Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 I was looking for a better topic than JP/Trent. How about Jauron/new head coach? That's one that should pick up steam as we get into the season. Never too soon to look at who the next coach should be.
VABills Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Comment: Spragan is a six-year veteran with good size and above-average athletic ability. He has played outside and inside linebacker for the Dolphins since being acquired in 2005. He has good range in chase but is not fluid laterally or with his change of direction. He is competitive but is inconsistent around the pile. Spragan has good strength versus the run but only flashes hand use and is inconsistent to separate effectively. He is an average reactor and does not appear to have great instincts. He loses leverage too often and needs coverage work to be effective in the passing game (route recognition, etc.). Spragan needs an expanded pass rush package (hand use, counters, etc.) to be productive pressuring the quarterback. He has been a part time starter for Miami over the past two seasons (nine games in 2005 and 2006) but isn't a natural football player with the potential to be an outstanding contributor. He does have experience and has been a solid special teams player but is on the bubble of being and average starter or a good backup.
