Why did ESPN list defensive stats for him if he's a WR?

I was impressed with how many sacks he had.

Unprecedented I'd say - for a WR!

Great job ESPN! You buggers.

More camp fodder.

Steve Johnson WR from Kentucky

60 catches 1000+ yards and 13 TDs in the SEC this year. Did I mention that he's 6'2 215lbs and runs in the 4.5s?

I think he has a very good chance to make the roster and is a solid pick this late.

Another project with upside

Strengths: Ideal NFL size with great frame and impressive strength…knows how to use his body to shield the defender from the ball…natural hands catcher…attacks the ball at the highest point…plays much faster than timed speed…has the ability to develop into a physical threat who can beat the jam, if he can improve his technique (hand usage)…

Weaknesses: Raw prospect that really only contributed one season at Division 1-A…will need to improve his technique…needs to become more consistent…work ethic is questioned…not as smooth in and out of his routes as you would like…needs to improve his ability to beat jams..

Overall: Steve Johnson jumped on the NFL radar with a terrific senior season for UK. He showed the ability to separate from SEC corners and is a real intriguing prospect to develop into a physical threat at the WR role. He has shown the ability to be both a redzone and deep threat, and could be one of the steals of the draft.
