Finally I like a pick! This kid is RAW but with very good upside.... similar to but less athletic than Jason Peters.... he could develop into a fine player or be a journeyman.... Good value!

he put up 225 an amazing 10 times! thats almost as strong as lindel!!!!!!!

I wouldn't worry about that too much. The Bills can work on his strength. His athleticism at that size is something that can't be coached or trained.

Scouting Report: Demetrius Bell, OT, Northwestern State

By Staff Report | February 17th, 2008

Demetrius Bell is loved by the scouts. Yes, the senior from Northwestern State is loved for all that he could be. He has that raw talent and room from improvement that anyone that saw him play would want to have. He is going to the combine after only playing football since 2005, and at the beginning of his career being a defensive end. His talent combined with his size makes his upside among the highest of all the players in this combine.

Scouting Report

Pros: Has shown in three years how much he can improve. With the right coaching the sky is the limit for this young man.

Cons: If you want a project, this is the player for you. He has made it to this point mostly on the talent he possesses and nothing else.

Overall: I doubt someone is not going to give a chance to a player that shows so much potential.

There is an extensive video study of him on Draftguys TV. They are calling him one of the steals of today. He played college Basketball and he was an FCS(?) All American. He projects to LT and is an excellent athlete, but has raw technique. Hard worker and new to football. He started playing football at age 21 and is only 23 now. He started on the dline and moved to online and quickly learned the position, hence the All-American selection.

Seems like another great selection!

This pick reminds me a lot of when we drafted Jason Peters.

He was as raw as a player could be, but the scouts and coaches were going apeshit over his potential.

Wouldn't it be great if we could see the same results?

Peters can teach him.

are the s-x toys you girls using red, white and blue? this guy is getting cut within the next four months- if not sooner. There is a reason he was picked 217. I bet ralph is the only one still in the war room.

Peters was a UDFA from 2004 that was cut and subsequently re-signed.

Minimum two year project. Worth a flyer.
