Bill from NYC Posted April 27, 2008 Author Posted April 27, 2008 Do you drink or take drugs? If not you should start immediately..... Good idea, if I wanted to be a blind moron. You want to tell me more?
Bill from NYC Posted April 27, 2008 Author Posted April 27, 2008 Please leave. That's not called for. We made awesome picks. AND you know what else, I'll give Jauron another year if we don't make the playoffs. I believe he's like coach Coughlin of the Giants. We need more time with Jauron. Thanks for being polite!
The Senator Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 I wish to be the first Bills Fan in 2008 to call for the firing of Dick Jauron. If I owned the team, I would fire him right now and have security escort him out of the war room. Wow, Bill - I will remember where I heard that first! We got two great players in round 1, filled glaring needs at corner and WR, and have seven picks today to address our needs at TE, center, D-line, and maybe even grab another WR. I think you'll be very pleased with the 2008 Bills when you're watching them play in Jan/Feb 2009! GO BILLSSS!!!!
nucci Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Good idea, if I wanted to be a blind moron. You want to tell me more? I don't think anyone can tell you anything. Your mind is set and there is nothing anyone can do. I was also being a bit sarcastic but I think you are being unreasonable with criticism.
Sisyphean Bills Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Don't worry, Bill. I definitely remember people on this board going nuts when Trent Edwards was drafted. "We need a CB, not a QB!! WTF is Marv doing?" As if having better talent at any position is a crime...
ganesh Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Now...fast forward to Trent. The Bills are an injury away from Duke Preston and/or Chambers, and their center is second rate. The same idiots ran past Branden Albert and took yet another 1st round defensive back. Do you think that Trent is happy? Do you think that it might have been a good idea to use their top resources to help and protect this young qb who has 9 or so starts? Bill, I agree with you...Albert would have been an awesome pick. However, can he play center or can Butler move to Center... The CB pick was a wasted pick after all the bull crap about not needing a top cover corner for the cover2...Plus we already had a KR and PR players....This is what happens when the Bills tie themselves too strongly with a position of need. They just refuse to look at the big picture....Especially when they are going to let McKelvin bolt after 5 years. You got to build from the trenches to be a successful football team...
KRT88 Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 I wish to be the first Bills Fan in 2008 to call for the firing of Dick Jauron. If I owned the team, I would fire him right now and have security escort him out of the war room. you seriously need to switch to decaf. the experts and the fans seem to like the picks so far and since the team was 30th in offense and 31st in defense and still was 7-9, says something about the coaching. oh ya, we were also first in players in IR last year. If the Bills can score more TD's this year they will contend for a playoff spot because the defense will be better.
colin Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 bill, you've become a self parody. i honestly suspect you are a chubby chaser. how can you insist on a guard when our O line just gave up the fewest sacks in team history, with jp the disaster and a rook qb no less?!?!?!?! our sack total plummeted with the exact same line once we list 2 LBs and a top corner. we've got those back now (poz, mitchel, mclovin at corner) and just now we added a solid raw talent at DE. we can now cover and get after the qb better. we also grabbed two stud DTs, that will obv help our upfront push and run D. so our D just got a turbo charge, and you want to complain about o line? we still have 4 picks left too.
MarkAF43 Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 I have never been a big fan of Jauron and company, but I will say it appears we have filled two very glaring holes we had last year and hopefully this will help. I don't agree with your comments about TE being upset when we drafted a receiver just shy of 6'6 who some people are saying may be the most underrated of the WR's in the draft. I for one am happy with what has happened so far... Now we go after a tight end and start looking for that ever important depth.
Mike formerly from Florida Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Good idea, if I wanted to be a blind moron. You want to tell me more? Why don't you guys stop the insults. Bill is a long-time poster, why the need to insult him just because you disagree. So, he wants Jauron to be fired, that's his opinion. Maybe he's venting or he's having a bad day. Give it a break.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 There are some pretty rude people posting here. Bill obviously hates the CB pick--that's his opinion. If you disagree, why not disagree on the merits, and leave the ad hominem attacks to buffalobills.com message boards? I've been on record as saying that I love 1st round CB picks. In fact, I'd pick a 1st round DB every 2-3 years, just like the Eagles seem to do. Rookie corners can start and excel right away (no learning curve), they come at a bargain price, and they very rarely are busts (like many of the 1st round OL and DL). I don't know much about McKelvin--but if we got the highest rated corner in the draft, then I think it's a great pick. And as this draft progesses, I am more and more convinced that Jauron is going to be here a lot longer because we are putting together a playoff caliber team.
Chilly Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Damn that Dick Jauron for taking the best player available!
DrDawkinstein Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Damn that Dick Jauron for taking the best player available! and fill our needs at the same time! how dare he?!?
Sisyphean Bills Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Hey dummy he must be good enough to get a team with the 30th ranked offense and the 31st ranked defense to win 7 games last year. If offense or defense dosn't win the game for you it must be the coaching and gameplan, right? So You better start being nicer to Skelator because he has the power. This is a nice sound bite. But, let's take a closer look. The Bills, in route to their awesome 7-9 record, beat 5 teams: the Dolphins, the Jets, the Ravens, the Bengals, and the Redskins. This is not a collection of powerhouse teams. All but the Redskins were terrible teams. And, the Redskins win happened the same week that their team captain was murdered in his home and the Bills managed to win on a last second FG by 1 point. The Dolphins were terrible yet in the first meeting, General Dick McClellan Jauron managed to eek out a 3 point victory. The Jets were a horrible team, yet again the first meeting was decided by a FG. The second game, the Jets offense couldn't do anything against air, let alone the Bills cardboard cutout defense. There was really only 2 "dominant" performances, against the Bengals and the Dolphins. Yet, Dick Jauron is a great coach because his team lost the battle of attrition, lost more games than they won, had an offense stuck in neutral, and a defense that flopped. He is a masterful team builder because after 2 years, he still has huge holes in his starting lineup that dictate to him how to run his draft board.

Dan Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 I wish to be the first Bills Fan in 2008 to call for the firing of Dick Jauron. If I owned the team, I would fire him right now and have security escort him out of the war room. I can understand your concern over the pick. I really can. My initial reaction was a similar preponderance as to why a CB is the biggest need on the team. As I rationalize it, you had essentially 2 players at 11 and they made a decision as to who they thought would be better. What I question (or wonder) did they try to trade back up and get another player? I thought we would see that. But, lets have a little patience and see what Jauron and the rest of the coaching staff do with these guys. I'll be right here with you calling for Jauron's head if the team continues to come out looking flat and has piss poor offensive game plans that do nothing. But, until then, we have to be positive and remain ever hopeful.
justnzane Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 I am really surprised that no one has brought up Fire Dick Jauron! Bill, I disagree with you there, but it is funny how everyone doesn't get you being you
IDBillzFan Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Hey Bill, you got your wish. The Bills finally picked a corner in the fourth round!! :wallbash:
