Oneonta Buffalo Fan Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 "Omon led NCAA Division II with 2,337 rushing yards (6.3 per attempt) and a whopping 37 touchdowns in 2007, in the process becoming the first back in NCAA history to run for more than 1,500 yards in four different seasons. He's not likely to wow anyone with his straight-line speed, but defenders know how tough he is to bring down." A great ST player I see.
OCinBuffalo Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Allright, since Fine, they are obviously drafting for ST players with a vengeance. Since we lost 4 good ones, I suppose this makes sense, but I wonder why they wouldn't take a shot on an O line? However, so many O line were drafted yesterday and today there's probably not much left.
Lurker Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Dwayne Wright - you're on notice! Yeah, what a great 4th round pick...

We also have 3 7th rounders coming up.

ans4e64 Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 makes sense if they move Wright to FB JMO Why would anyone think Wright could block? How about we move Fred Jackson to FB too!
ans4e64 Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Sorry I'm a bit snippy today everyone, bad draft mood lol. I'll try to lighten up some.
sven233 Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Don't judge Omon before you see him! I admit I haven't seen him before, but it looks like he has a good initial burst, GREAT VISION, and decent speed. Looks like he has good instincts. Here is a highlight video:
Grouse89 Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Why would anyone think Wright could block? How about we move Fred Jackson to FB too! umm you can teach someone to block to an extent. but w/e it's kool, we all have our snippy moments
/dev/null Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Mike Hart and Hillis are there and we take Omon. I hate that Why? Just because you never heard of him?
Sisyphean Bills Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 NWMS! Hey, any school that'd take Joe Pendry off our hands is to me.

Here is a highlight video: He could be our FB on some plays. Player where we line up in the I and fake a RB toss to Lynch and hand it off to Omon. He's fast enough to get a lot of yards.
BillsVet Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Yeah, what a great 4th round pick... Wright was Ralph's personal pick last year. Ralph should stay the heck out of the draft...but he's the owner. Sometimes I get the feeling this team is being run like the Indians in Major League. Another RB? Well, at least it's only a 6th. We might have gotten the next Tom Brady.

When is the last time we had a RB that could jump over everyone like that? DON DAVIS???
ans4e64 Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 That guy has GREAT vision, and a mean stiff arm. Great lateral movement too, wonder why someone didn't grab him earlier.
