Likely CB-WR draft combo for Bills

The Buffalo Bills ideally would select an instant impact cornerback and wide receiver in the first two rounds of this weekend’s NFL college draft.

It will be interesting to see how they try to pull it off. Will the No. 11 pick be a CB or a WR? Might they use one or two of their eight other picks in a deal to move up in an attempt to fill both need positions in the first round?

Here’s one possible dream scenario for the Bills with their first three picks in this weekend’s NFL draft:

Pick No. 11 — A cornerback (Leodis McKelvin of Troy or Mike Jenkins of South Florida or Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie of Tennessee State); or wide receiver Devin Thomas (Michigan State).

Pick No. 41 — If they take a CB in the first round, a tall wide receiver might still be available and could be the jackpot pick: James Hardy (Indiana) or Malcolm Kelly (Oklahoma). … If they take a WR in the first round, a CB could be available (perhaps Antoine Cason of Arizona or Aqib Talib of Kansas). … A tight end (Martellus Bennett of Texas A&M, Dustin Kelly or Purdue or Fred Davis of USC) could be available and is another need position.
